Reply to trojan virus in Fences

That file: SdAppServices_x64.dll Has been in all of our apps for many many years and has not changed in a very long time. If it was corrupted by a virus, it was not delivered that way via the installer. As noted here already, it is almost certainly a false positive. Sean Drohan Stardock Product Lifecycle Manager
I have not seriously looked at this product because of the UI. What are you thinking? Couldn't you at least put it inside a basic dialog box so I minimize it, move it, close it? I have two displays and would put on the second display. Just tested 1.0 and well I finally found a sweet spot to drag the box but there is no visible reinforcement of it. The drag bar is not the outline! Discovered that if I clicked the drop
Windows Settings (the newer Universal kind) don't appear in search results. I used to be able to type the name of a Windows Settings page (like "Update") in the Start11 search box and stuff like the Windows Update app would appear in the results. Now, none of the new (Universal) Settings appear in search results. I can only search for the old Windows7-style control panel apps. Windows 11 Pro, Versio
The only (partial) workaround I've found is to rename the folder shortcuts so they appear above app shortcuts. (eg Renaming "PI Today" to "_PI Today"
Since this is essentially pinning a Windows native component (Windows Explorer), it would adhere to its sorting, in this case, alphabetical. Your method to rename the folders \ file to achieve the sort would be proper but I can log it to at least respect the current sorting of the folder pinned (by size f

It reads like you are asking about losing your settings by changing their desktop folder. Fences supports the desktop folder being anywhere on the system, but it stores its data as full paths, not relative to the desktop folder. So, if you change the desktop folder, Fences will continue to work but you may have to put the icons back in their fences. (Icons may fall out of their fences at that one singular time.) <s

If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.
