This is the Fences forum. It is full of support questions, but forgive me, perhaps you are blind. I posted this for help not comments from the peanut gallery. I bought this program 6 months ago and it is still not working properly and nothing it seems, is being done about it. When support fails to address the questions asked by people who sp
ohohoy
This has turned out to be quite the place. I made this post above almost a month ago, no response what so ever from this very poor support staff. Are you people ever going to do anything about the problems I see all over the place here. You seem to be completely ignoring them, just like you did my post. Fix the problems or get someone in charge here who can get it done. If you can't get the Folde
This problem has been around for a long time and the only fix I see is to install version 2.10? I have already upgraded to version 2.11 and I still have this problem so I hope you can come up with something else this time. It would be nice to see something done about the inability to position icons wherever we want as well. ohohoy

I will log this as a feature request.
I don't know how you can call a desire to be able to use the color white, the most basic of colors, a feature request. The fact that is is not available would seem like a bug to me. But, whatever. It would be nice to have some sort of a pallet to change colors there or an o
http://www.wikihow.com/Calibrate-Your-Monitor
Not really relevant. I have a laptop and the color is perfect in everything else. I am quite sure this is a Fences problem, especially since teddybearcholla has the same issue. If there was some way of shutting the transparency off all
Quoting ohohoy, reply 5It must be something related to the combo of Fences and my Dell Precision M6400. Possibly your monitor/screen setup is wrong....and you're only noticing the non-white while you're trying to set something to white...
After further testing, the problem seems to be with the transparency setting in Fences. The only way to get a white background in the fences is to set my desktop background to whit
This is how I do it...as close as I found it could get. Transparency: move the slider all the way to the right ( no transparency) Color intensity: move the slider all the way to the right ( no intense color) Tint: move the slider all the way to the left ( red) Saturation: move the slider all the way to the left ( no saturation) Hope this helps!
Nope, this
Open Fences Configuration, select Adjust color & appearance. Move the Color Intensity slider all the way to the right, move the Saturation slider all the way to the left. Hope that is what you are looking for.
Thanks but this just gives me a light blue or grey type color. Not close to white. Moving the tint slider back and forth has very little effect.
Been trying and can't seem to make the background white.
I am waiting for you to fix the icon sorting thing before updating that XP machine. But thanks for the suggestion. Johnnie
See reply # 13 where another member of your staff says almost, I think, the opposite. Not so clear when you look around. I call it a fix since that basic functionality is built into Win XP when you have a folder on the desktop and I believe was also included as far back as Win 3.1. I don't see anyway to do it in win 7 though. So much for progress.
Providing this notice (sales spam) over and over on someones computer with out asking first and with no way of disabling it except removing the program is, SPAM. I never ever saw any "notices" until you started pushing version 2, then I started getting the popups. The popup is there to sell products and not as you say, to notify anyone of the program being retired. Come on, do you think we are all stupid? The program (version 1) is still being offered on file sites.
Yes it is possible. Just remove the program from your machine. It works perfectly. No more popup spam on my machines. I wonder, are they planning on spamming us with version 2.0 of the program also? If so that would be another good reason to avoid the program, unfortunately. People do many stupid things in the quest for money. Johnnie
I came here to buy this today thinking that you must have fixed this problem by now. I thought there was no way that you would ignore the most annoying problem with the original Fences. That was the one reason I removed it from my machine. Other then the program moving my icons around I liked it and hope you can do something to solve this stupid little problem. The statements in the posts above regarding a fix for this are very ambiguous. Do you really plan on fixing this or is it not
