It seems that the only way you can use your purchased applications, error free (even if they are compatible with the upcoming windows OS or some of the older ones), is to keep subscribing for the Object Desktop. And i don't want to pay every year. I don't care about the upgrades either. If the apps are compatible, they should be able to be restored on any OS that can support these apps, regardless of the one on which the archives were created. Ok. So if i purchase the Object Desktop and even though i have a new machine and a different OS then the one i had when i installed the enhanced versions of OD applications, Stardock's support will give me links to download the versions that i had, before my subscription ended? I've read somewhere from a Stardock's support member that they do this out of courtesy and that people should archive their applications. But if the archives can not be restored, will the guys from Star

I have been wondering for some time, as i have read quite a few comments, here and there, that the Object Desktop archives are OS dependent and that they are pretty much useless on different operative systems. Now, if i download and immediately archive the Object Desktop applications, will there be a compatibility issue when i recover the archives to a different OS?!??
