It's also too bad you couldn't get Reactor and AOWSM MP working together, that would have been nice also (but most likely impossible) I really wonder now what would happen if Stardock and Triumph worked together on AOWIII using the Elemental Engine with Brad doing the AI. Closing out of Elemental causes some annomallies related to the dynasty system to be "corrected" the next time you load the game, but not when you simply load without closing the program.

This would consume alot of memory and take tons of processing power to manage, so it is not likely to show up for a long time if ever.

At least MOM challenged me and sometimes sent me into the abyss on higher difficulties and major magic. AOW:SM is also TOO DARK I can hardly see my units and stacks and just plain ole stuff on the maps. I don't know why they think playing in the BLACK is fun? The Shadow Realm was the worst. Plus the ai in AOW never used Pioneers/settler types like MOM

All the other points brought up here are good ideas definitely, but without range I consider autoresolve simply broken, it needs that before anything else. [quote who="Robert Hentschke" reply="50" id="2789336"]The graphics might be tricky. True 3D is harder to give good contrast because you can't use a bright object with a black border. That way you'd make it visible like the green trees on a green background. But in 3D there is no border around an object. Only the vertices of the object and since the player can rotate the camera, you can't realistically control the background. But that's just the theory. Maybe a real 3D per

Are people using mods with the Impulse version of this? I've been looking through AoW Heaven, and it looks like there are lots of good mods...but I may have to *gasp* mess around with DOS prompts and other such things that I haven't touched since the 20th century. The squad is multiple identical units and with the fractions there probably won't be a combination of equipment items that results in the exact average stats. The o

[quote who="Darvin3" reply="7" id="2787325"]Bad example; in theory they had this, but in practice the "conservative" setting was indistinguishable from the "overkill" setting. Both dropped their most powerful spell at the start of battle regardless of how weak the opponent was. This lead to infuriating situations where a rat would run out of a corner, the AI would start casting meteor swarm, and then warrior would have hit it with his sword and killed it before the spell finished.

I got it and already love it. More games need dynamic worlds like this, where things are always happening; however I would like a non-randomized world mode that has more story (or is there more later? I am still in the first town, but I cannot see there being more to it with a random world).

Depends on the game. When in TC I use it more often than on the strategy map if possible to set them separately.
The xml for forth level Fallen Cities defines the level up amount as 1000. (found in CoreImprovements -> F_CityHubs.xml)
- To avoid arguements over whether hexes or squares are better, all tiles should be perfect circles.
Kingdom is definately 1250, it is the only one I play as. (I only found one thousand through captured cities)
