hrm. I don't know if this is a big enough deal to waste time on TBH. The game only pre-generates what, 8 or 9 units? the time it takes to delete the pre-gen'd units is so negligible. But I guess if the Dev team have time it wouldn't be an awful thing to put in.
More like infinite, because it is every time you research a military tech including the ones that do not have a limit for how many time

I turned the frequency of autosaves up to once a turn in the options menu, so I do not lose as much progress. What I am doing at the moment is not too complicated, because it is just tiding up stuff that I mostly finished two months ago. The only real problems are places I stopped half way through a line of code and now do not remember what the rest was to be.

Maybe that should add a high level spell that creates it; after all it had to come from somewhere originally.

Personally I want the influence rings to be effected by the shape of your city. I think that would have alot more interesting game play effects for alot less work than making interesting rivers.
To some extent it does, as there are buildings that have there own influence ring.
They were, but from horse back (on the move) they were inaccurate, as such they were used to wear the enemy down until they could be defeated. It might be good to allow for items to have separate stats for units with mounts so this can be represented.

Mounted archers were effective, unless then enemy had archers that could out range them. And mounted archers were never heavily armored because the idea tactics for them were to hit and run, as they (like all archers) get decimated if then enemy melee troops get to them.
uber armored horse mounted mega archer.
The reason those never existed is because armor slowed the horse down, and the really good bows (longbows and the really powerful versions of crossbows) could not be used on horse back. And it is hard to aim from the back of the horse, but that might be hard to add in.
Wait a while longer. Despite the Herculean bailing efforts by Stardock, it's still an incredibly spartan game insofar as features. And with the most recent patch, it's become a very tedious game to play (with insanely overpriced sovereign equipment and a potential trickle of resources even late in the game). I'm starting to regain faith that they'll pull a rabbit out of their proverbial hat(s) and polish this into a true

Another thing that could be done is have healer/medic units that help an army get back to full health quicker. AoW has the heal ability usable once a turn either in or out of battle that units can have. Because the easily obtained healers are slow, you have to chose between a fast army or one that can do a sustained push... which can lead to specializing your forces between the two. Unless you are undead (most of who have the ability to fully regain hp every turn and are nearly all sl
The game caught my eye a while back but when i heard of how bugged it was i decided to wait a while before purchasing it. So i was just wondering if the bugs have been ironed out enough to make it playable? I loved Sins and was disappointed when i heard about the bugs. Any points of view would be great and if this is in the wrong forum i apologise!
Not yet, but if you buy before the patch that is to fix the game (1.1) the
... what? No. This kind of stuff reminds me of the guy who said that anybody who could play a game of Civ 4 in less then 72 hours was doing it wrong. Turn length in AoW:SM is nowhere NEAR that long.
In one game I am currently in I own about 1/8th of the surface, about a 1/16th of the underground, and nothing in the shadow. The time it takes to do one turn averages 15 to 30 minutes, depending on how many tac

It can only push so far before the the system / run time say "No, you cannot have any more memory!" and then it crashes. The cause is that some stuff that is not being used and will never be used again is not being recycled, resulting in the game eventually running out. (On 64 bit systems, each application can run in its own 64 bit address space, meaning each application theorectically could use more memory than most people's hard drives have space for files) This is more technical st

HP is one of the brands I steer clear of now (as is dell). As for all of the suggestions, I really appreciate all the feedback on a new system. I'm going to spend a few weeks virtually building several rigs in my spare time. I think I have decided on a 9800 GTX nvidia card as that seems to be q

So, while Stardock is putting options for a longer time clock, you'd never convince me to play an opponent that thought he needed an hour a turn. You get to interrogate captured champions in Lords of Magic, letting you see where then enemy is that turn (though it was buggy as I recall and after the first time in the game it would say that the prisoner has already told you everything and you get penalized for mistreating them).
