What is the difference between a clean boot and a power off then power on boot?

After a power off then power on restart, the entry for the shell extension is there, but it still doesn't work. FencesShellExt Stardock Fences Shell Extension (Verified) STARDOCK SYSTEMS, INC. - C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\FencesMenu64.dll Mon Mar 13 12:15:18 2023

Again using Autoruns64, I see: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SharedTaskScheduler: {1984DD45-52CF-49cd-AB77-18F378FEA264} - File not found: FencesShellExt.exe Scheduled Tasks: \StardockFencesHotkeySupport - Provides enhanced WinKey+D hotkey support for Fences. Can be disabled, however hotkeys will not work within Admin applications. - File not found: Files.exe <b

Installed Fences 4.11. The UI to launch Fences still doesn't work. I have never used the hotkeys, so I don't know if they ever worked, but the Upgrade Windows Show Desktop and Access Fences Instantly hotkeys both don't work.

Windows 11 Ver 22H2 Build 2261.1555, Fences Ver 4.10. When I right-click the desktop, then point to View ->, Configure Fences is the top item in the menu. Clicking on it does nothing. Using AutoRuns v14.09 from Sysinternals, the startup entry for FencesShellExt.exe shows the file is missing, and looking in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences confirms it is missing. I can start Fences from the Start Menu. Is there a fix for this? Thank you.

Greetings. Normally, pressing Shift-Delete on a file or shortcut in Windows Explorer deletes the item without moving it to the recycle bin. Pressing Shift-delete on an item in the Start 11 menu shortcut or folder puts the item in the recycle bin, which is what pressing Delete does. Is there a way to bypass the recycle bin when deleting items in Start 11? Thank you.

I would like to see an option for the start menu context menu to have reduced spacing just like the Explorer window context menu has. Or, have the start menu context menu follow the Explorer setting. Thank you.

I don't know where the beta download is on your web site. Additional info: If I have Word on top of FireFox (it doesn't matter what the two programs are), sometimes clicking in Word clicks FireFox instead. Turning off Start11 causes a click in Word to be received by Word. I will try to record a video when it happens again, but only after I install the latest beta version. Clicking the Check Now for update button tells me I have the latest version 1.01.

Windows 11 Home Version 21H2 build 22000.318, Start Menu 11 v1.0. Start Menu is on, button to the left, using a custom button, Windows 7 style. I'll have a program open, it doesn't seem to matter what the program is, the program is not full screen and not overlapping the task bar, and when I click on in the program window to do something (type, click a button, etc.), the mouse-click is passed through to Start Menu 11 and I'll get an Explorer window. I'll click the title bar of my prog

I have an intermittent problem. I am running Groupy 1.17 and StartMenu 10 on Windows 10. If I double-click the This PC icon on my desktop, Explorer opens up and I get the green bar that never goes away. If I shut down Groupy and do this, Explorer opens normally. I have Explorer set to start with This PC. If I open Documents or Music from the Start Menu, they open with no trouble. I also have short cuts to my C: and D: drive and they open fine. I have run the following: Dism /Online /Cleanup-I
