Greetings! Start11 functions pretty well overall, and I've read the next major version should have more taskbar tweaks including ungrouping the taskbar icons and (hopefully) showing app labels. In addition to those, I'd like to request that Start11 supports enabling seconds to the system tray clock like Windows 10 supported via a registry key but this was removed in Windows 11. Thoughts?

The blackout when applying any wallpaper is something I noticed over a month ago when the RTM was released on TechNet. It happens when running DeskScapes alone without any other Stardock programs. But the devs probably are fully aware of the issue and are in the process of fixing it. :)
When I did testing, dreams/videos were automatically working fine as the start screen background if you have the "Show my desktop background on Start" checked under the Navigation tab under Taskbar and Navigation properties in Windows. http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/hands-windows-81-use-desktop-wallpaper-start-screen
Probably because the Windows Aero transparency was more-or-less removed from Windows 8.
You guys might want to test DeskScapes on Windows 8.1 after installing the GA Rollup A updates, as there seems to be a few issues there. Wait a few days for Windows 8.1 to launch with the day 1 GA Rollup A updates of course. :)
Probably because of legal reasons.
These are near-perfect 1:1 8.1 start button images for anyone whom wants a custom color (e.g. to match the account background color like 8.1 does). If you want a custom color, then post the RGB code or hex color code and I can post it for you. The only flaw is they don't have the "shine" effect when hovering/clicking like the 8.1 start button does. Here's some examples (right click to save these PNG images, ignore the white areas, they don't appear when posted here but will correc
Because of legalities, right? Can the stock Windows 8.1 start menu image be uploaded to WinCustomize, or is there legalities involved there too? Because I could customize and upload stock, near pixel-perfect 8.1 start menu buttons with various colors available.
I found on the Classic Shell forums there's a template for a pixel-perfect 8.1 start button template which can be used with Start8 and it works *nearly* perfectly. You can also customize the color of the button when hovering/clicking the icon, like Windows 8.1 does. However, it's not perfect as the true 8.1 button has an additional "shine" animation that's used when you hover on it. http://www.classi
It sounds like you're experiencing the potential bug I noticed, for which I posted more information about here for the devs to help reproduce it: https://forums.stardock.com/448101/get;3397536
However any issues with video dreams will be codec issues.
In my testing with Windows 8.1 Pro x64 RTM with Media Center, I've found this isn't the case. I'm capable of doing testing with video dreams by converting the MPEG-2 video dreams to other video formats (e.g MPEG-2 to WMV, AVI, etc.) and I can pretty much say the codecs isn't the issue. Windows 8.1 RTM without Media Center works perfectly with WMV video d
It works, however if you upgrade to Media Center it doesn't for some reason - all dreams either don't load or they black out.
