I didn't think start11 was all about reproducing past features but on improvements. I have had this feature on all Windows for as long as I can remember (whether or not it was always a native feature, I can't remember either way). I just installed v2 only to again be disappointed that this feature is missing, I keep reading about all the improvements being made, how about adding some useful ones instead of cosmetics? Anyway it is back to the free WindH

I have downloaded the beta now. It fixes the issue I raised but has 2 others I've found: The start/taskbar hangs for long periods of time 10+ seconds (all programs running OK and don't hang). Not all icons show in the right task icon area (and they haven't gone into the overflow area either). If I turn off the S11 task integration previously missing icons will show. I don't know if this issue was in the non-beta as needed zoom today.

I'm on v1.2 (don't know if Beta, app doesn't say, check for updates says I'm on current s/w) If I select " Let Start11 enhance the taskbar " then all pinned shortcuts and all running programs disappear. I can't find any options that work. When I click " Restart explorer ", I see them appear before start11 gets involved (I think) then disappear. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/39/62/3962149/d85967cd-acff-44

Once I create a fence the icons bunch up within it. I can drag them to change their positioning but can't create gaps, so as an example I can't have a fence with icons in all 4 corners. Is that an option I haven't found yet (sorting is turned off).
Check this https://forums.stardock.com/451852/get;3592555
Thanks for confirming this is an ObjectDock feature/limitation. I didn't get the solutions (or they sounded too hard) so my workaround is to: Create new shortcut to CMD.exe rename and fix icon Start minimized

This could be the same issue I have where 2.20 tries to run from 32 bit program files instead of 64 bit...

Hi, I have a shortcut in a folder, it is to "c:\program files\blah", its properties are correct and work perfectly from Explorer. I set up a Dock Menu (Show folder in a menu), when run from the menu it tries to run it from "c:\program files (x86)\blah" and fails. The dialog is created by ObjectDock (it doesn't ask Windows to invoke it). This is on Windows 10 and teh latest Object Doco 2.20.0.862 Thanks Dennis &n

Hi, Not a biggy but it is annoying. I've had this in an older version and one I installed not too long ago (v1.90 build 536), if you click on one shortcut with the "Show Menu In Folder" ticked and then click on another similar shortcut then the menu doesn't work(in any similar shortcutr including the original). You have to close the dock (move mouse off it) and start again. This happens on two computer, both with latest fixes from MS, one WI

OK the issue on my 64 WIndows 7 machine is back again and if I took screenshot you'd only see the normal background without any icons, as soon as I prepare to take a snapshot the icons are displayed and its OK until the next time I restart computer/logon again (1 restart = 1 logon for me).

I'll check at work (if possible, lots of stuff locked out although I am local admin) about the show desktop icons but am unsure what that does, if it helps I have millions of icons hence the need for fences. As for my working WIN7 machine for about a week it started doing something similar when I logged on (no icons visble at all though) and has now fixed itself. While it was occuring I found the solution was: Right Click Desktop->Configure fences->Tools->Take Snap
Has anyone found a solution for this bug. I don't really like to have a background image just for the sake of Fences
Doesn't sound like anyone has fixed this issue as it still occurs on the latest version of fences.

Hi, Subject says it all, I guess the way it probably occurs is: 1. Delete file from USB drive (not sure if precence of recycle dir enough)... 2. Wait a bit 3. Run handle.exe (sysinternals) and you will see:
C:\> handle y: Handle v3.2 Copyright (C) 1997-2006 Mark Russinovich Sysinternals - www.sysinternals.com <p style="paddin

Hi, I've been using fences for a few weeks now on WIN7 64 bit and largely without issue. On a WINXP 32 bit machine it fails to work, I have tried your latest download as well as the exact same version I'm using on WIN7. The fences appear in your GUI but not on the actual desktop. Some of the icons are also display bluish (possibly as if selected), I don't think I did this... At times I have managed to get the fence title to partially display for a while so

Just to let you know that it does work on Window 7 (64 bit) as that is what I'm using and it works fine here. I am however having issues on another WINXP machine where the fences are never visible (and some of the icons become blue also). As I saw some posts about similar issues mid last year it would appear that my WINXP issue hasn't been fixed. If you have this issue you will still see the "Fences" panel on the main GUI as they are only invisible (sometimes partially vis
