^ option to lock the view? Love that interface, perspective view panels and all that nonsense. In game I'd love more eye candy though like comets, asteroids, everything animated & full 3D. Ability to pop-up a close up view on a planet/star with all its satellites fully animated etc.

^ My Vindicator was never a pure combat vessel up until the point where Melnorme info traded for bio data was exhausted and I didn't need any resources anymore. But even then I managed to kill any alien ship including green and black Ur-Quan ships without a problem. I never used any ship other than the flagship for combat except the final boss which you could only safely kill with the Pkunk ship. Also, you didn't have to use your flagship to fight at all. It cou
Two options to control escorts (and by options I mean the player decides before battle): A: leave them to be controlled by the AI entirely B: give them a RTS style of control being able to control them via the mouse while controlling the flagship with QWEASD and the Crtl keys. Of course you can choose to not have any escorts at all. It's all about the option of choice
This d

If we're talking about chores of SC2 then I'd rather have that scanner on the Vindicator (3DO name of your flagship) and you can only use it when already in the system, so it depletes resources from your ship which you can refill as you go. Otherwise, returning back to the base to scan mineral rich systems would turn into another chore. System scanner would save you shizz ton of time of going to each planet to scan it. It doesn't necessarily need to provide detailed info about the

Not a fan of multiple ships combat. Top down Space Pirates And Zombies 2 or Void Expanse in full 3D with barrel rolls, "Nesterov's loop" and other eye candy SFX would be already GREAT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6SkYQyz7l8 I'd also like mini games beside resource gathering and combat like flying through static/moving asteroid/mine fields to pick something important up (the choice of a ship should matter here). Boss/space stat

Q: How will these star clusters work? A: In the base game, player will start 2112 with the first human contact with an alien race. From there, the humans will launch their first interstellar ship and begin exploring this area of the galaxy. The ship will be highly customizeable (both visually and in terms of equipment). Thus, by the end of the base game, the player's ship will have evolved into something truly unique while at the same time gath

^ Yep. If I wanna play a strategy game, I'll play Gal Civ. No bases or outposts management please, for the love of Dogar & Kazon.

Why lipsyncing? SC2 didn't have it and nobody missed it. But UQM-HD version had incredibly awesome voiceovers and different font styles that fit the game perfectly. I'm NOT looking forward to listen to SIMS-like language and read every dam conversation to know what's going on. First, to still be immersed in the game's atmosphere I'd have to listen to aliens's blabbering and then read the text. That's "double" time of every conversation. Who has time?... UQM-HD

I wanna write so much trash about this *NEW* Star Control idea, but I don't wanna waste my time. So I'll write this: Don't call your game what it's not gonna be, please. If there's no Spathi = it ain't Star Control. No Kzer Za, Kohr Ah = it ain't Star Control. If it ain't Star Control = nobody will buy it. I know I won't.
