Try disabling Avast entirely for the duration of the installation process and see if that helps. You can also try downloading and running the following file: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/stardock_access.bat Save the file, right click it and select "Run as Administrator" if you're on Vista/Windows 7, just run it if you're on XP. This may solve your issue.

It sounds like you're logging into Impulse with an account that the games are not registered to. Contact support@stardock.com with the serial numbers and any email addresses they may be registered to and we'll try to sort this out for you.
