I've recently been having problems using the Windows 7 snipping tool when Groupy is running. The tool will start, but will always "snip" the same location on my screen with Groupy is running no matter where I position the highlighting box for the screen capture. If I turn Groupy off, the snipping tool works as expected. If anyone else has seen this and has a fix, I'd appreciate learning about it. Thanks! P.S. Thank you for the offer to send the older version and to let me know that you're on Windows 10-64. I hope Stardock will supply the older version, but if not I'll reach out to you again for yours. Much appreciated!
And yet one more bit of information. There was a text message that disappeared before I was able to read it when I ran your batch file. I put a 'pause' statement into the batch file before the 'cls' and the message was as follows: As mentioned in my first post, I'm running the 32bit version of Window 7. Is that in some way related? Thank you for working on the batch file. While the batch file appears to have worked as you expected (all Groupy related processes were terminated and the c:\program files\stardock\groupy directory was completely removed), the problem was still not solved. After the previous try (uninstalling / reinstalling Groupy, grouping two folders, closing, and then trying to unsuccessfully group Word, Excel, the original two folders and other applications), I tried rebooting again, this time *without* uninstalling and reinstalling. Folders again grouped as before, but this time I did not close the grouped folders. Tried opening Excel and adding that to the two-folder group. I got the
I did as suggested and found the following: Immediately after reinstalling, two folders were able to be grouped. I closed both (grouped) folders and opened two Excel files. They could not be grouped. I opened two Word files and they would not group. I then went back at tried grouping the first two folders and they would no longer group. Other applications that I tried to group failed as well. As a aside, Task Managers shows that both "GroupyHelp2.
I have been using Groupy for several months now on a Windows 7-32 bit machine. With the lastest automatic update, I can no longer group windows. I even tried purchasing a new copy (I rely on it heavy) and the new copy does not work. It there a way to download and regress to an earlier version? Thanks!
