To be less sarcastic: You can minions swarm bases down from as far back as your last tower. Even with minions, a DG fighting at a tower is probably going to beat another DG, and hey, if it's erebus you have the added benefit of being able to flee easily. And the the thing is, there is a problem if your team doesn't have strong AoE. And when I say strong, I mean "either you have mass charm or something that one shots the enemies." My suggestion is to make the ran

I wasn't complaining about the fact I lost at all; I was simply pointing out that, somehow, I managed to get DC'd from only the people on the enemy team, causing it to display the message that I had won. I knew I would have lost, it's just a weird DC bug (and yes, somehow it said I was still connected to my teammates). Also, my brothers were on the Xbox, so that could have been eating up bandwith. I'm not complaining about exploits or stat cheating; I'm simply
Obscenitor I'm not making an argument to buff the rook or nerf minion swarms here, I'm just saying a good minion swarmeris the most challenging opponent for a good rook in my opinion. Your original statement was that Rook was weak against the minion swarm tactic. This is ambiguous. If the minions are focusing on the Rook, this is true. If the minions are focusing on something else, this is very wrong. I think we are

Bug: In a game, suddenly it says all my enemies DC'd and that I won. I check stats; a loss with no favor. Bug: In a game, I win. It counts as a loss. General point: Stats are worthless; right now I've got an under 50% win ratio, but I've also had about a 70% "my team has a horrible feeder" ratio. I still play well... just not well enough to counter my teammates stupidity.

I've had a lot of bad stat tracking bugs... for example, I was just in a game (with pacov) and suddenly it said all my enemies DC'd, and that I had won. I figured it was a bug; we were losing horribly, after all. I check the stats, and not only did we get a loss, I got no favor (I at least wanted my favor). I also had a game where I destroyed a Rook in 1v1, but then I got a loss afterwards. And one other incident where the host DC'd and the game didn't count for a win.
Wow this thread exploded. Premades have a huge advantage over random PUGs. Both from knowing how your team works to having real time voice communication. It goes without saying that if you are playing with friends, you are on a voice comm program. When I played Quake 1 DM professionally over a decade ago, we played using conference calls. Today we have ventrillo, teamspeak, and rojer wilco may even still be around.<br /
Quoting Shadow_Avenger, reply 5 I don't think using voice is cheating, but I do think that it gives no basis for people who use it a cause to say that they are better players. I've got to disagree here. Voice absolutely gives a basis for people who use it to say they are better players. All things being equal, the team that communicates is better than the team that doesn't. The team that communicates more eff
no DG in the game can get in range because there is no maximum for slowing DGs down Not true, Erebus has bat swarm, gets him in nice and close. Erebus is the ultimate regulus counter IMO. You can also pick up warpstone or take cloak of night to warp in on him. Although they are pretty expensive solutions.
Yes, he can get in there... but reg can still leave pretty easily. And warpstone and cloak

Sniper scope also has an annoying problem when he triple stacks slows (wyrmskin handguards[or whichever ones slow, I don't use gloves much], poisoned blade, and maim); by doing that, no DG in the game can get in range because there is no maximum for slowing DGs down (one time, when combined with an Oak, my speed was actually at zero.) So until there is a dropoff point for speed being lowered, Reg can keep everybody out of range with sniper scope III + three slows. The only problem is he has l
You are midgame in a very close high level 3v3. You have a chance to suicide kill one of their guys as he runs through his center towers on cataract. You know for a fact that neither of his buddies are close enough to save him. You do not know whether or not he has a potion. Do you go for it?
It depends; if he's been using large potions, yes; if he's been using small potions, no; if he hasn't been using potions during combat, probably not (I'm generally more sure that

Another person who doesn't understand the entire concept of why don't die ever exists. If you can punish an enemy for overextending, which could easily happen, then you should, even if it means your death to the forces of whatever. Losing a kill at that point is a bad idea. Yes, at high level play nobody will ever be in these situations. But at high level play everything is different, and even then, I specifically made sure this was written so that it only applies in situations where

Best method: stack slows. Erebus will have to port away, and with enough slows (due to a bug or W/E) he'll be stuck in place from them all, so you still might get him. UB just has no chance besides a TB scroll, and just save pentience for that.

He's hosting 1v1 matches on a team game playing on the two worst maps in the game. Of course he's going to get a good win record. I'm not saying he's not good, but if you get to number one playing the game on bad maps in a 1v1, you can't really say he's the #1 player in the game; he's setting everything up for his advantage. There's also the "host quits game, it doesn't get counted" bug I've heard about, but I've never encountered it so I have no clue if it's true; I'm pretty sure it'

Beastial Wrath is a bad skill. Very, very bad. It's obvious, the damage increase isn't worth the fact by the time it finishes the opponent could have fled, and it burns a ton of mana that a pure ooze build just won't have. Spit's almost always a better choice to hybidize into because it deals more damage and can't be avoided, but if you are trying to go pure ooze you are going to want to stick with passives until so late in the game (past level 15, which most games don't go) your natural mana

At this point it's becoming harder and harder for me to get anywhere... The games I join are either obviously premades, or playing with shitty settings. For example, a Regulus who was hosting said he played with high strength towers, low strength creeps, high gold and fast creeps because it was "more fun" and said that it didn't give him any advantage over other DGs... riiiiiiight. It's just getting annoying when I have to choose between playing a game against people who will crush m
