I found the cause. The game was only using 1 of my 4 cores by default. Had to go in to task manager and set the affinity. Runs smooth at full settings and 1920x1200 res now. Seems I have to do this every time I launch the game though, would be nice if it detected and used my quad core cpu properly all the time by default.

I'm running on a Q6600 2.4Ghz, 4GB of RAM and I have a Radeon 4850. I don't know why, but the game runs really choppy even on the lowest settings with my res set at 1280x800. Before you jump at the 'Do you have the latest drivers' questions, yes, I do. I wasn't expecting to have to run the game at absolute minimum settings and still deal with low frame rate on my system, anyone have any ideas?
