"Wow, if you initiated computer attacks because of a video game, you need some serious help." I agree, maybe I should refrain from such suggestions, even though it was in jest. OTOH, what could be a better reason for attacking a system? Oh ya, money, botnets, RBN.
Whoa, rad. I'll have to try this out. But ya, your server is prompting for a username/password, your links are all like this: http://benjsch@benjsch.bplaced.net/Bilder/rook_06.gif Internet Explorer no longer supports that format, and most other browsers pop up warning messages. You should get rid of the "benjsch@" part which it looks like you put in by mistake, because it's not needed. Edit your original post and fix all
Not upgrading, adding a second monitor, currently I have a Lenovo ThinkVision. Which model Dell and Samsung do you refer to? I'm not doing professional design work, but I would spend plenty of time in front of the monitor coding and doing other work. So I'd also prefer a monitor that leaves my eyes feeling okay after long periods of time working or gaming in front of it.
Anyone passionate or know about a great 24 inch monitor for gaming? I'd prefer one versatile enough to work with photos and video as well. The HP lp2475w is a pretty sweet one I'm considering.
Sorry, just gotta live with the frustration. Or, if you're really feeling vicious and vengeful, get their IP address from your game log and run some vulnerability and port scanners on thier system. Then find a hole and attack :) Careful though, questionable legality.
Nice thought Yeodan, but those three numbers aren't enough indication of a hacker.
The demigod.exe always ran a hash check on dgdata.zip. That's what the /allowmismatch switch is for right? Also, you can binary edit the demigod.exe if you needed to. The MD5 hash sum is stored in plain text, just search for the one it expects, and replace it with the one you want. BTW looks like dgmod.com is no longer registered, I hope that changes!
So now I sat in the lobby for like an hour today jumping from host to host because no one could ever get a game together. Thanks OVERLAY! Now that everyone sees all the stats, they want to balance teams. So, the solution - AUTO-BALANCE. Can you guys implement an auto-balance button for the host? I don't have the specs, shouldn't be hard to come up with though. Just base it averages of total games played plus overall wins.</
Click the Windows button, type secpol.msc and hit enter/return. On the left, expand 'local policies' then go into security options submenu. On the right, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see 10 different options for User Account Control . You can make it do whatever you want from here, including never to
I bought Risen , and am having fun exploring their world. It's a single player RPG without much combat dynamics, but I'm only level 2 in the game. I'd also recommend watching Dragon's Age: Origins . BioWare will be releasing that November 6.
That looks like the first mod I was intending to build. Nice job. Can't wait to fuzz your Unicode strings and find some bugs. [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I suggest researching the responses from a scientific perspective such as NASA. In fact, if you Google ' 2012 site:nasa.gov ' you'll find plenty of good responses and information. One resource in particular is full of information - their Astrobiology section on <a title="2012 and Nibiru Q and A" href="http://astrobiology.nas
Has anyone used Fraps to record and replay games? Reinventing video capture seems like a waste of the devs time to me. There's much bigger issues to tackle, improving match-making, working through bugs with 1.2, hardening security against exploits and trivial game state/desync errors.
Its a miserable experience to wind up in the Pantheon in a game of 3 real players on one team, and 1 or 2 players plus AI on the other. It's almost always an immediate concede situation, and a waste of time setting up the game. A better solution I've been thinking about would be to balance the matchups. So, rather than have 3 real players versus 1 plus 2 AI, have the matchmaking service balance it to be 1 real player on each side with 2 AI each. That prevents the obv
It seems a necessity to have AI in pantheon, while you may prefer to wait it out for real players, other people would probably rather just play. Like when I have an hour or less to get a game in, I don't want to wait. A better solution I've been thinking about would be to balance the matchups. So, rather than have 3 real players vs 1 plus 2 AI, have the matchmaking service balance it to be 1 real player on each side with 2 AI each. That prevents the obvious waiting around
Replays seem like a cosmetic to me, and I have little use for them. I'd much rather see you spend time fixing bugs such as the pipeline issues when Alt-Tab'ing, and working on the 1.2 update and the bug fixes it will no doubt require.
"a third of the time" - have you been tracking these or is that your guesstimate? My experience with these errors are that they're used by rage quitters and exploits to end the game and prevent the loss from counting toward their stats. If you're on the light side when 'the forces of light control the map' then it's likely they just exploited the game this same way. It's trivially easy to cause an invalid gamestate, allowing this condition to become more widespread and com
Don't give full control to the EVERYONE group. The problem is that software such as these games are developed and tested using administrative accounts, a common scenario in dev shops. When it comes time to test running games as limited user accounts, everything starts to break, and typically it's so late in the process that the vendor settles on requiring admin privileges. If the ever even go that far... So the best thing to do is right-click the game executable or s
Windowed-mode seems to compromise gameplay compared to full-screen mode. My hope is to create a /stats mod with patch 1.2 so I don't need to alt+tab out of the game anymore to check someone's stats.
Here's a link to a game I never played, but which was counted against me as a loss: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/931128/player/36403/ You can see from the stats that both my team and entity are 'Unknown'. The game, though never played, was actually counted against me as a loss. Ive seen other bugs simiar to this one. The conditions to reproduce this from what I remember:
