If you think it's lame then you probably dont really know what it is. It was never actually anything new at all...but the integration of all the pieces they already had. Database access, Win32 API, Web, OLE etc...all bundled into one common model. .NET is mostly a developer tool....but they chose to also market it as a user functionality (ie the New functionality users gain from applications being easily integrated) buzz word as well. It's one of those things that wa

Martin, i LOVE desktopX, i mean completely LOVE it. Was using it since the very first beta, i think it started at .4? I made a couple of themes and objects for it a while back....and I had alot of fun doing it. The problem back then was that for all the time I spent doing it...in the end it was only minmally useful. All the good stuff was only able to be done with DXToys, which unfortunately had lots of bugs, and then got way too all-inclusive. (I Still say he should have broken i

"We expect this situation to be temporary (i.e. a couple of days)." Jeeeeze people. Read that! A couple of days! I'm very sorry that they decided they have to take a couple days off to put more money into a server that allows YOU to download skins for software that is mostly likely PIRATED, or NOT YET PAID FOR.

The page file is used as memory when you have no more physical memory. This is what "virtual memory" is. It p

Question: Does this suite come with colors other than the shown blue? I REALLY like this set of icons, and I normally hate mass-icon replacement.....but everyone always makes their icons in shades of blue....and blue does not match my system at all. If there's alternate color schemes than I will send my $8 today.

I guess the question is if Stardock could take the 10%-20% loss of customers. (or maybe they'd just upgrade for stardock!) But i say if it helps reduce development time, to allow more advanced and stable features on Windows2k/XP then do it for the 80% of customers, especially since it's likely that all NEW stardock customers will be running one of those 2.

I've been using it for about 2 months now and it kicks ass!!! Only short-comming of it is the lack of file transfer support which should be implmented sometime in the summer.
