B.) Not going to be noticed much by the majority of customers. This i

Hi SD, You haven't even published Intrigue yet and already I spy a misspelled word in a screen shot on Neowin. " Brakedown" is not a word. Don't you folks have a spell checker? I truly appreciate how hard SD works to keep this game not only up-to-date, but constantly moving forward, as well. My only wish is that you would apply some spit and polish to the already completed work before moving on to another expansion. GalCiv III is chock full of grammati

I now have 6 of 5 shipyard sponsors in an Altarian game. Excessive (or whatever is just below Ludicrous) size; 16 Civs How is that possible?
Hi lyssailcor, I've started two games now: Ludicrous, Altarian, 16 Civs In both cases, I have gotten to turn 100 or so and have only settled maybe 6 or 7 planets. This is completely different from Huge or Large maps where, by this time, I would own 15- 20 planets by turn 60. I'll try again, but it makes me nervous when I feel so far behind at that tu
Hi All, When the game auto-saves, it gets the week number wrong when it hits turn (week) 52. This is not a problem so much for the gamer (since we can now see the turn number if we choose, thank you very much!), but if the program depends on that number for anything at all, I suppose it could cause problems. Just letting you know, Richard Playing: Ludicrous, Altarian, 16, Gifted with XFX R9 280X GPU, 16GB RAM, AMD FX-8350 CPU
Hi All, When I create a new ship design while in game, I would like to see only ship designs which are specific to the Civ I am currently playing. Currently, I have to keep sifting through hundreds of ships of the wrong color, etc. If I'm playing as the Drengin, for example, I don't want to have to drill through a bunch of Torian (and other) designs to find the Drengin ones I'm looking for. Is there a setting somewhere to limit the number of ship-types which are displa

Hi all, How do you know how many Legions you need to win a planet? TIA, Richard
I set up a Rally Point a couple tiles away from the Shipyard and it works perfectly. Thank you!
Hi all, I would like to set which direction built ships exit the Shipyard. Is this possible, or do I have to do it manually each time? TIA, Richard
hmmm...ok I'll have an engineer look into it. Do you have a save game?
Sorry, pshaw, no save game. I get the impression the routing algorithm is testing for the best path after each move. In this case, it seems to pick a direction then "changes its mind", so to speak, and ends up going back to the original tile. One other thing-- in recent game incarnations, the proposed on-screen path can no longer be
Frogboy, I am having a great time and always sit on the edge of my seat whenever a new patch/update comes along. I read every line of the change logs and appreciate that you folks make those available in a timely manner. Thank you for that. The game is definitely improving as time passes, so, thank you for all your hard work, Richard
When a 2-movement Colony Ship is near a black hole, the routing algorithm will send it backwards one tile, then forwards one tile essentially forfeiting the turn. To overcome this, the movements must done manually until you get around the black hole. Very strange. I haven't noticed this with other ships with more than two movement points.
Hi Aussi, Installing version 5.34 overwrites the bad dll, so no worries, mate! ;-) I just finished an article about this at: https://davescomputertips.com/how-to-fix-ccleaner-botnet-infection/ Richard
Thanks for all your hard work! This a great game, and getting better all the time!

One of the perks of Certain is that it gives you 100 research points every time you choose an ideology pick.
There was a change in GC3 at some point, maybe Crusade only, where the diplomatic bonus from trade only applies to civs that have certain trading/economic traits. I'm not clear on which civs have that bonus and which don't, although I think that the Iridium definitely have it.
It could be that I haven't gotten the needed Techs. I will pay closer attention to that. Thanks!
Hi Charch, Maybe you're thinking about the Open Borders Treaty? That still works.
Thanks Charch, "you also get a diplomacy bonus for having a trade route, so sometimes it can be worthwhile to send them races you have differing ideologies from just to help offset the negatives." You know, that's the way it used to be, but I no longer see that listed as a plus in the Diplo pop-up when hovering over another Civ. I still see things like Out of Travelling Range, Ripe for Conquering, Open Borders Treaty, etc, but no more mention of the Trade Routes. I don
