In response to this: 'Finding ways to keep retail sales up. Sales are good now but let’s be real here, updates are fueled by new sales. If you guys have ideas on what it would take to get more of your friends to buy copies at retail and on Impulse let us know. " I know this will NOT be a popular sentiment here...but.... As far as generating $$$ for updates you should either think of subscriptions or microtransactions, not "new sales".

Yes, I understand DG can be frustrating when you have people on your team who don't know how to play. However, for all that you "did" you failed to take down any buildings (perhaps you left that to just the creeps) personally. That suggests to me you focused more on hero kills than some of the other objectives in the game. It reminds me of a 4v4 I was playing on Prison (crazy I know) where we had a mass disconnect so it was just me vs. AI. Just for a kick, I decided to go all
P.S. Here's another issue w/ minions that makes them suck even just a bit more. Armor. If you go full on abilities and direct damage, it's not mitigated by armor. However, minions are, so it's easy to counter act any steady dps of a minion build w/ armor and hp's. Honestly, the more I think about this and try out different builds the more I realize this is a huge game design flaw on the part of GPG. It's not that I would even want minions to be more powerful...I mean,
Actually, on second thought any build that involves relying on Shamblers pretty much sucks. Anyone who is competent will just AoE your shit down and nuke you. Mid to late game all your shields do is prevent the inevitible. I've played QoT every which way now and she is best with shields early and focusing on direct damage late. Fuck Shamblers.
w/e this is the best QoT guide written yet imo. I agree with the author that ground spikes is a nice skill but it also semi-negates the only thing QoT does good because it requires her to change forms and lose tempo. I disagree with his assesment of how strong bramble shield is in comparison to sednas heal though. Early game it

I am surprised if lag makes a difference in the relative positions of you and your minions. Doesn't lag "slow" everything in the game down equally?
Apparently not. I remember one game distinctly where I went hard Yetis in a 4v4 and the whole game they were always trailing me. After one of those massive disconnects where
I think most people who are disappointed in generals as generals aren't going hard enough in that direction. If you max out Morale and get EVERY minion related skill it becomes a pretty absurd amount of DPS. And with only a couple items (Hauberk of Life, and Forest Ring) they tend to be pretty durable... especially since you can use your near-infinite mana to replace dead ones at any time. I've always been impressed with hardcore m
3 of the strongest heroes in the game, Sedna, Oak, and Erebus, are Generals. QoT, also a general, is very strong if played right. However, it seems to me, when actually played as generals, they are kind of lackluster except for maybe Oak. But as for Sedna, QoT, and Erebus, they are definitely played better in the Assassin style w/ assassin style gear upgrades and skill trees. Now, if it were just me who found this to be the case, then I don't there'd be much weight to my opini

This is a really great topic and I agree, in spirit, with the OP that good game design allows for the possibilities of "comebacks". Honestly, if any game, be it football, soccer, hockey, baseball, or chess were determined in the first 5 minutes then the rest of the game would be pointless. Sometimes demigod does feel that way. In part, because it is a wargame. In other games, advantages aren't designed to accumulate over time. For instance, in football, if you get a touchdown,
But the overall experience is maddening and frustrating beyond belief. The proxy servers better fix this though, I fear, that the other issue (a person having more than 1 IP address) could be the cause as well (a person with multiple network cards / wireless cards that are connected to the Internet – that’s coming up next).
I wouldn't say bulletproof. There's still people who get in lobbies that for one reason or another can't connect to one person...whic
Where do we write the /slashcommands? Is it a button we click or do we have to edit some sort of text file?
I never use it because it always seems like ver 0.91 is all people play there.
Well, I've been holding off on doing any Skirmish or Pantheon games until all the connectivity, favor, and stats issues are fixed. The other thing is that I don't want to play any competitive ranked matches w/ AI involved. When that stuff is fixed I will probably play a lot more pantheon and less custom games. I definitely hear ya when it comes to other people being inconsiderate in online environments. However, I've been pleasantly surprised at how respectful and good natured
Please try erebus, normal build and then this proposed build. Then come back here and tell me that this supposed "imba" build performe better that the classic one. We can arrange a match and ill show you hands down that classic erebus owns "mist build" 100% of the time. The screenshot you provided show really nothing, your team was clearly better, with or without you in mist
Well, an arranged team versus new players doesn't really add to the discussion, I'm unsure how the screenshot is supposed to validate anything. Well, I'm glad Vyper tried it with success. I've yet to try a MP mist + army of the night game although I've done it in single player as I described above. Neat. However, I did just win a 3v3 cataract w/ a bite/charm/bats/mist build using only mana helms and idols. I had no problem w/ survivability at all. Sure, I couldn't stand toe to toe or chase deep in their base but I could create alot of battlefield confusion w/ these 4 spells at my fingertips. And yeah, semi-perman
Excellent OP, didn't realise this. It must be a mistake or oversight on the dev's part. Either way, couldn't you have taken the other team 4v3 with the Erebus out of the way?
First, thanks for complimenting my OP. Secondly, I imagine in retrospect there was a way to counter this. However, we were 4 random guys and at the time there was just a lot of confusion. So, if you define "work" as in cost effectiveness and providing similar overall health care outcomes at lost cost per capita, then single payer "works" a lot better than the system the U.S. employs now.
If we did those two things we'd solve a lot of our problems and pay off our national debt. Most of the analyses I've read say #2 wouldn't achieve that objective, not by a longshot. The idea that we could retire the level of debt contemplated in Obama's proposed budgets by imposing higher taxes on only 5% of our citizens is wishful thinking at best, particularly as the baby boom generation starts leaving the work force in s
