CNet is the best advertising Stardock gets. That's where I found out about Window Blinds. Their recommendations influence a lot of people. When someone asked if there wasn't something better than Microsoft's Aero, CNET told them to check out Window Blinds by Stardock. I don't use Fences though. I have NO icons on my desktop. Everything here works by magic. [e digicons][/e]

Well, let's see. You just joined today and you are plugging someone else's web site? Maybe your own web site? Someone on Win Customize noticed a wall on that site that was done by one our members. I've learned over the years that there's no such thing as a free lunch. Hate cliques but it's true. If something looks too good to be true, it is! I also noticed that there is NO contact information at all. No owner n

Hi Jessie, You might try doing a restore point to an earlier date and see if that works. Window Blinds would not change your default program icons. Another thing you could try is cleaning out the icon cache on your computer. You can find instructions for that in How To Geek. However, if you are not comfortable with editing the registry, it would be better to try using a restore point to a date before the icons changed. If you mess up the registry, you cou

Here is what I tried recently - and it worked for me. I saved the original receipt with the download link for the blind. I clicked on it and it let me download the latest version with no problem. Since I bought the skin fairly recently, it was downloaded from the new web site so my solution might not work if you've had the skin for awhile and downloaded it from the old site. Still, if you have the original download link, it might be worth a try. [e digic
The Windows Live Mail beta is quite slick! I am loving the smooth animations and clean interface. If only I could tolerate the quirks of GMail via IMAP (multiple copies of emails due to labels system, properly removing the inbox labels when trashing messages, etc.), I would use the new Live Mail for Hotmail and GMail, instead of just Hotmail.
I'm just wondering where the days of the early 2000s went. Those days when the only computers in school ran Windows 98 and used Netscape. That's what I remember from "computer lab". The most trouble I got in was installing StarCraft and using the school's "network" to run a LAN between myself and a few buddies. Not exactly smiled upon, but I didn't need to be told how to use a computer in school and found the teacher

Tried to install the latest WindowBlinds update and all I get is an error. Uninstalled WB hoping that would help. Still get an error. Not good and I am not happy. There is clearly a problem with the download. The error code says, "Error retrieving data." [e digicons]8C[/e] Update: I checked the registry, nothing there, so decided to try a cold boot. It finally installed. Thank goodness! I mean is there life without WB???

I have a question about Window Blinds. I do use Skin Studio and am able to edit graphics such as the start menu, change colors for menus, favorites, fonts, etc. What I don't understand is how to new create corners, tops, sides, bottoms of frames to make a new skin. Do those graphcs have to be a specific size? Do some of you create them from scratch or do you edit aero or other skins? I also get confused creating glass. That seems to be the hardest thing

Beautiful job and I really love this skin. Thanks to everyone who worked on it - especially Essorant. I run Windows 7 32 bit and it works just fine. There's not that much difference between Vista and Win 7 so give it a try. Thanks to Tim (Essorant) for the beautiful Savannah wallpaper too.
