You could always updgrade to Windows 7. You will love it - honest! [e digicons]XD[/e]

Amazing! I never thought about lightening during a volcanic eruption. What great photos! One can only imagine what it must have been like when Pompeii was destroyed. Thanks so much for sending the photos. NetaholicsAnonymous are you from Boston by any chance?
Hi Tintin, I have a 32 bit system so may not be much help but I wonder if your security software could be blocking Windowblinds? Some security suites have been known to cause issues although it sounds as though you've already covered that. Still, I would make sure to white list the whole Window Blinds folder. Explorer.exe and dwm.exe need to be able to run. I am assuming you have aero enabled. If nothing else works, you might try unin
I just want to say thank you to all of you! It solved a similar problem for me too. [e digicons]XD[/e] I will get the hang of it all one of these days. [e digicons][/e]
Thanks for the great info. I will give Desktop X a try and see if that works.
Hi Shirley, Any ideas on how we could do it? I used to link to my own web site under XP but not anymore. [e digicons]:'([/e] I would love to be able to do that again.
Ansury's question is fair and legitimate. If people don't understand what the apps do and how they interact with each other how do they find out if they don't ask? From what I see, there are a lot of overlapping products. I didn't buy Object Desktop right away because I didn't fully understand whether I needed it. I bought a combo package consisting of WB and SKS. Those are the two most important products to me still although I eventually bought Object Desktop be
Okay, I see (read) what Objectbar does but how does that app interface with Windowblinds and Skin Studio? Does it interface at all? If I build a bar can I make that part of a new skin? Does Objectbar change a Windowblind's appearance?
Hmmmm I upgraded with no problem. I am running Windows 7 32 bit. Did you check to make sure the old version is installed correctly? I am assuming your license is valid for the latest version? If your license is fine then uninstalling the old version may be your best option OR you could try reinstalling it, verify the installation and then try running the update.
Hi Brandon, I had trouble too. Then I noticed that this site says it can be 100 x 100 but Win Customize says only 50 x 50. I was able to upload from Win Customize without a problem once I reduced the size down.
Great card. I have the newer version which runs cool and smooth. Hope you find what you need on eBay because the 260 has gone up a bit in price - at least from the places I checked.
I have PSP X2 and run it on Windows 7 with no problem. Personally, I like the last Jasc version 9 better. Haven't tried the latest version (X3) though. I am considering my options and may switch to Adobe Photoshop.
Hi Jafo, I hear you about getting into the task manager. Those of us who've been out there awhile are so used to cntrl, alt, delete that is second nature to us. However, I have sort of retrained me to right click on the task bar and select it there. Still, ever now and then I still hit cntrl, alt. delete. [e digicons]^_^[/e] Someone mentioned that the pinned taskbar icons bug them. It bugged me too but there is an easy fix available at
I love Windows 7. I've "been out there" a loong time and I've used every windows version except 2000. The worst, by far, was ME. The best by far is Windows 7. I spend a lot less time under the hood since I updgraded from Vista. If Windows 7 seems buggy or runs poorly, try using Eusing registry cleaner. Chances are the registry is crapped up and needs to be cleaned out. When I first upgraded to Vista, it was buggy - lots of those blue screens we all lov
Perhaps you need to update Direct X? I am running Version DirectX 10 here. If that is not the issue, you might try uninstalling both programs, do a reboot, and then install them one at a time rebooting after each install. Beyond, that, I have no idea what could be causing the problem.
Hi Mike, I thought of one possibility. Are you sure the video driver is up to date? If not, you might want to update it. If it's been updated recently, you might want to try rolling it back and see what happens. NVidia has pulled some drivers from their web site lately due to problems with overheating, etc. Otherwise, I have no clue what it could be. I have an NVidia GTX 260 here and have had no problems but I am also running
Did you try changing the WB settings? You can set the Taskbar for wide. If you've already tried that and it doesn't work, you will need to use Skin Studio and edit the graphc or import it into another graphics program.
Can't wait to see this finished! Normally I don't care for black themes but this one absolutely knocks my socks off!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product! Love the clean lines and the colors.
Hello Again, Sonic. I just installed Tiki and it works fine for me. The text is a lighter color though - sort of a rust color. You should be able to change it using WB. I changed it to red which is much easier to see. It's a very cool skin! [e digicons]XD[/e]
Hi Sonic, To change the font color the easiest way, just click on "Colours" in WB 7 and then on "Change Windows System Colors." Look for fonts that are white text. My "guess" is that it will be window text which is at the bottom of the list. If you cannot get it changed using Windowblinds, you may need to edit the skin in Skin Studio. If I can find Tiki I will install it here and see if the problem occurs in Windows 7. Usually there are not many d
Thanks, everyone. I'd never seen the term used before but I ran a search and it is exactly as you said. Pardon my editor's eye. :-)
In Window Blinds Settings, please correct "themeaware" to read themeware. The sentence should read: Controls in applications which are not "themeware" should not be skinned. It's a minor thing so should be an easy fix. :-)
saurabhvyas - What you are is RUDE! You are trying to compete against this company? Let me give you a hint. Rudeness is unacceptable behavior anywhere and hardly the way to win friends and influence people much less convince them to try your software. I think I will be staying with Stardock and company.&nb
If you simply want the icons closer together (as opposed to actually making them narrower), you could use the Quick Launch instead. It's a simple tweak available on How To Geek. Not sure why it's not enabled by default. I thought the Windows 7 pinned icons took up too much real estate so I (and many others) went back to the Quick Launch. Here is the link: http
