What does that mean? That the whole system was borked? It seemed pretty clear that favor points were being calculated correctly for everyone I know who plays the game. Am I to believe that these favor points could not have been carried over into whatever new system was being implemented?

I think micromanagement would be the biggest problem, but I also think this problem could be avoided by, say, only allowing you to change your skills at your item shop or citadel. But even without the micromanagement, I think that Zechnophobe's points are valid enough that this is not a good idea.
Regarding Unclean Beast, I just don't think that the description is accurate. In response to the original post, I think that all of the characters were made to feel overpowered, so that people would look at each one individually and say "I can't believe this character has all of these good abilities put together". Maybe they didn't accomplish that as well with every character, but I do think they tried. Still, it seems easy to me to see UB's shortcomings. His only ra
Meh, I don't know...I just never really feel like Erebus is much of a concern when I play against him. It's not that he's bad, it's just that he don't really seem to have that same sort of impact as the others. He never seems to be the sort of powerhouse that people are describing here when I fight against him. He's just kind of another Demigod. Though it's true that I can do well when I play as him, I think I do just as well with other Demigods.
Unless it's been fixed in one of the patches, you get an invalid username / password message if your internet is down...might be a good idea to make sure your internet connection is working.
I actually think that mines would be much too weak if they couldn't be thrown under someone's feet. I don't really think leaving a little trap for an enemy player is typically useful, especially since there is rarely more than a couple places that you could set them where they won't be hit by the enemy grunts, and players are usually very mine-conscious when they enter these places. It's also nice that mines give Regulus a good reason to get up close in a fight. Without th
I actually feel like this problem might not be limited to Lord Erebus. There have definitely been several times where I thought that someone should get an assist, but they didn't. I can think of one recently where I threw mines under the feet of a demigod who died a couple seconds later, and the mines appeared to hit, but I didn't get an assist. But it's tough to say whether these things are just me thinking that a player got a hit in, when it really didn't hit, or whether
No, no and no. Other games have a zero tolerence policy. If you get disconnected or leave past 3min, it's a LOSS. Demigod is being nice enough to implement only a disconnect stat instead of destroying your score. People with high disconnect % either are rage quitters OR they have a problem with the game. In either case, I don't want them playing with me until they solved their issues, be it psychological or technical. It
The disconnect idea sounds absolutely horrible to me: it is never a good idea to put someone's account in a state where they have a difficult time playing the game, first because those people paid to play your game, and second because there is no fool-proof method to determine who should be allowed to play and who shouldn't. It is made far worse by the fact that Demigod is likely to get a lot of false positives due to the high presence of game crashes and mid-game mass disconnects tha
I think there are a lot of good points here, and if the question is whether stacking health is too good, I would probably answer yes. However, I definitely don't think that stacking health is always the best choice, and because of my playstyle, I don't stack health on most characters. The important thing to understand is that +health is only good if you're being attacked. If you're not being attacked, then it does absolutely nothing. This is important to understand b
I think this game is pretty balanced. But if I had to choose one demigod as the most powerful, it would be Oak. Since Oak has pretty much the most damaging auto-attacks in the game, strong minions and idols, an amazing penitance spell, and a shield, I think he is the best 1 v 1 character in the game. I rarely engage Oak alone unless I'm playing Oak. Well, or QoT because I can survive so well.
Pretty cool stuff. Not bad for just a dollar.
All generals buffs affect their idol minions (except idol minions don't boost soul power). You need to learn a bit more about minions before claiming one has a specific advantage in using minions.
Milskidasith, you are incorrect about this, or maybe you are just misinterpreting the original poster. While it's true that the Morale ability that is shared by all generals does affect their minions, Sedna has two other abilitie
Right, but let's be realistic: any Regulus who does this is going to lose. An effective Regulus player will need to use his bow, at minimum, and likely his other skills as well.
I feel like Unclean Beast has a tough time against any general. Against Sedna, I think you should really try to exploit her weaknesses: Sedna has no ranged attacks, runs out of mana easily, and has a very tough time leveling. With this in mind, try not to feed her and use your ooze to level yourself up as quickly as possible. When you do engage her, try to make it at a time after she's been out wandering for a while, maybe after you've seen her expend a heal or t
To sum it up, the AI cheats. If you're on hard, or especially nightmare, random demigods will indeed become near-invulnerable, no matter how well you're doing. This isn't something you'll see in real games versus players. I hesitate to say "never", but I'm going to say it anyway: you will never see this in a game with real players. These AI players will typically have impossibly high speed, health, health regen, attack speed, and base damage, and I think it is more l
Like masterofping said, you should be able to easily out-level Sedna. Sedna has one of the most difficult times leveling of all characters due to a lack of AoE, and TB has the easiest time leveling due to huge amounts of AoE. Personally, I would use fire TB. I'm not much of a fan of Ice. Any time I see her, I'd just harass her from a distance. It's true that she can heal herself, but her heals use up a lot more mana than my fireballs, and I bet I could send her
In my opinion, Oak is the best 1 v 1 demigod in the game by far. But he doesn't excel as much in group battles: your goal should be to never engage Oak 1 v 1. Attack Oak with an ally, even if he has an ally himself. If you both target the same enemy, you should be able to win, even if he has an ally because your heals should keep your team alive longer than them. Also, use the tactics that suit your demigod. Oak's damage, armor, and idols make him well-suited f
Yeah, I definitely don't think the other team should be able to get Ashkindor if you have been dominating. In that case, you should be the one with Ashkindor, right? Or if you spent your 18k on giants, then surely someone else on your team has the money for it before they do. Though truthfully, I never save up for Ashkindor, because I feel like the game should have ended long before that. I can't remember the last game I played where anyone got Ashkindor. If yo
Q: is overpowered. A: No it isn’t. Q: is cheating. A: No he isn’t.
I agree that we often see people complaining about balance issues or cheats that aren't real issues or cheats. But at the same time, it would be foolish to think that the game is perfectly balanced and that no one could ever cheat, and a blanket response like this seems very odd to me.
It definitely is possible to win all 8 matches on hard. I've done it, and I've done it on Nightmare too. I've played on Nightmare far more than I've played on Hard, so I'll be better describing Nightmare, but it should apply to Hard as well. First, it's important to understand the situation that you're in. In Tournament mode, your allies are always on normal difficulty, while your enemies are whatever difficulty you select. So in Hard mode, your allies are norm
Creeping/Micro: This game lacks any micro-based creeping...This kills the flow of early game and often results in nothing more than demigods running between flags to cap and recap constantly.
I do think creep denial is very possible in Demigod, simply by holding the creep convergence points, killing the enemy creeps, and allowing your creeps to run into the enemy towers, and I think it's an important part of the game's strategy from the early game o
I just don't see the problem. Pounce is a low-damage ability compared to most damage abilities AND you have to be in melee range. It almost needs a buff, if you ask me. Spawn's complaints are just incorrect. 4k damage? Impossible. And I'm glad to see that teleporting away has some weakness: it's too easy an escape mechanism normally.
Erebus bite nerf went too far!
A bit off topic, but
I've also only played 4 v 4 against a team of all Regulus's (and I was Regulus myself on the other team), but as was mentioned before, the team of all Regulus's lost horribly. Their primary problem did seem to be capturing the flags and engaging other demigods directly. Never once did they kill one of our demigods using the simultaneous snipe method, probably because they were having a difficult time getting to level 4 early on. It didn't seem like an issue in that game, a
Erm...there is a lot of misinformation in this post. Oak's ability does 200 damage, slow, interrupt, increases enemy damage taken, and is ranged. Rook's ability is ranged and stuns. Sedna's ability is melee-ranged and interrupts, not stuns. Fireball does indeed hit harder than a maxed out pounce (and is ranged). I really think people ignore the benefits of an attack being ranged too often...
