Using a dark colored theme (Endeavour), and I noticed that the Ribbon and Status Bar at the top and bottom of the file explorer are stark white. I went into skinstudio to check things out, and the status bar is set to a black background image in the theme, but it is still showing up as white regardless. Somehow I think it's ignoring the setting... is this a known issue for windows 8 (8.1)?

yes, as you can see the content still 'appears' but it's not selectable, which to me mean's it's a ghost image, not the actual content. so imagine that you click the maximize button, the window you tried to maximize doesn't really move anywhere, but behind it a giant box fills the screen (as the image above shows). that small window in the front isn't a separate window, it's the same window that is trying to maximize, so what
you know, for all the bitching and moaning people do about windows, it is extremely customizable with the right apps, and far more stable than Linux. Granted, Linux is free and Microsoft tends to monotize everything, but my point is for the stability, support, and compatibility you get with Windows, it's easy to see where the money goes. I didn't even think about looking for something other than explorer but i'm suddenly interested, and super excited a
for my issues (i've had a couple, one being this one another being maximizing windows explorer windows) i've been posting in here and submitting a ticket as well
Couldn't find anything recent on something like this. Regardless of the skin I use, my explorer windows will not maximize correctly. I'm not talking about Internet Explorer, but just explorer (used to browse folders, etc...). Attached is an image of what it is doing when I try to maximize. Furthermore, when it does that, nothing is clickable, and click dragging anywhere on the screen will remove the window's maximized status and
I was about to post about this very topic when I saw yours. I have some added information: I also have this problem on a 4 monitor setup (in a square). I found that it works when I change my primary screen to the top left window, and I can repeat the issue when i have my primary as the bottom left screen. I think there may some sort of error with having a negative window value (only vertically) somewhere, since the top left of the primary screen is 0,0
