is there an issue with Win8?

Using a dark colored theme (Endeavour), and I noticed that the Ribbon and Status Bar at the top and bottom of the file explorer are stark white. I went into skinstudio to check things out, and the status bar is set to a black background image in the theme, but it is still showing up as white regardless.

Somehow I think it's ignoring the setting... is this a known issue for windows 8 (8.1)?

It cannot be changed at present unless Stardock can do something about it by improving SkinStudio.
