Sorry, I should have been more explicit: it's already checked. That's what makes it so frustrating.

There is just such an option, but that's doubly weird insofar as I've since learned two things: I can't get folder navigation to work in folder portals at all. It simply opens the folder in an external Windows Explorer window. Yet double clicking empty space in the folder portal or the title bar correctly opens the folder in Directory Opus! To call this schizophrenic behavior would be an understatement...
Another clarification after more testing: the shortcuts work fine in a regular fence (i.e., opening in Directory Opus as they should) but fail only when they are part of a "folder portal", which is what I have been using for convenience. The problem seems confined to folder portals, so perhaps there's something you can look at specific to that code? In the meantime, I have a workaround.
To be clear, I'm not running any "other shell", I'm simply asking that Fences respect the default system settings for what application opens for folder shortcuts. That's got nothing to do with the "shell", insofar as I too am running Windows Explorer as the system shell.
I use Directory Opus (DO) a lot because it's arguably the best file manager for Windows. I much prefer it to Windows Explorer, which is why I've configured it as the default handler for folders and their shortcuts. So if I place a shortcut to a particular folder on my desktop and double-click it, it opens in DO and not Windows Explorer. When I drag the very same shortcut into a fence and double-click it there, however, it opens in Windows E
You, nightcrawler, have described my problem perfectly with one exception: ending Multiplicity on the primary computer doesn't bring back my mouse cursor. The only thing that does that I can find so far is to reboot the machine.
I was referred to this thread by a prior and now locked thread to which I posted on the subject by sdRohan. None of the three machines on which I'm seeing the issue have Stardock Central installed. One of them was just built in late October of last year, so there's no chance it has ever had it installed. Any other ideas?
I have the same issue, basj, and I did try the recommended fix, but nothing changed: Object Desktop still pops up every day.
Sorry to hear you are having issues. It appears you might be using version 2 , V3 is recommended for Win10. Hmm... That's odd. I downloaded Object Desktop and let it install Multiplicity, and when I bring up the Multiplicity about box, that's not what it shows at all. Here's the screenshot for proof that I'm using V3 (unless I'm really missing something): <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/3/40/340443/9ce6c335-99e
What are you doing each morning? Is this resuming from suspend, or after bootup? I assume you have found you do not have any sort of multiplicity control each morning? In answer to your questions, I'm simply sitting down at the computer and moving the mouse. It's neither resuming from suspend nor after bootup; I leave the computer on, logged in, and running, often performing downloads or other chores at night. The problem occurs as soon as I move the mouse
I have the same problem, almost every morning. When I looked in the Windows 10 reliability history, I found that Multiplicity was crashing on my primary as well. Here are the details: Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Multiplicity\Multipl2.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Multipl2.exe Application Version: 3.0.0.0 Application Timestamp:
FWIW, it's working great for me on Vista 64. My video card is an NVIDIA 8800 GT card using WHQL 169.25 drivers.
So you mean I have to go crawling around my hard drive to delete files, rather than delete them from within the game? Yuck.
Thanks. After searching my start menu (the one feature of Vista I actually like), I find the launcher, which lets me open the manual. Much obliged!
I feel like I'm missing the obvious, but I don't see any way to delete a saved game. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
I'm a newbie to Sins of a Solar Empire, but I'm not a newbie gamer. What has me flummoxed is how deep the game is. I originally started writing a long post about my experiences, but I realized that what I really need is a manual. Can anyone comment on when a manual might be available?
