Snowman: Thanks for your advise. I did realize this about Themexp and seldom download anything. But your advise makes me think I should just forget that site all together. I have some good spyware programs (3 actually) which keeps me pretty cleaned up. NightTrain2002: Are there any instructions with LS that can guide me to making my own? Thanks! <A HREF="https://www.w

I like the ease of Login Studeio and have been using it long enought that I understand it well. The problem is, Wincusomize doesn't seem to have alot of posting for the logins I like (i.e. nature related). I have tried to download the logins on Themexp, but most times they do not work. Occasionaly I get luckly and they convert and work fine. Themexp recommends the use of Login Loader. I have tried this and cannot figure how to get the logins loaded into the program. Any Suggestions, guys?
ChasUGC: I bought a new video card specificly to work with the DVI monitor. It is a MSI (NVIDIA FX5700 LE) which I was told was good. Any ideas?
ChasUGC: I would like to adjust the screen size, but have been told by Samsung it has to be done via the video card since this is a DVI input. Any ideads how that is done? I have a MSI video card and am waitin for a call back from them. Hard to say when that might be. I uninstalled the Magic Tune software. It also does adjust the brightness so I may have to put it back on and than disable thru MS config. Right now it is pretty good looking except for the very little black lines. I have n
I had this problem with any skin I used. I uninstalled WB today and then redownloaded and installed WB with its latest update of yesterday. It appears it is the MagicTune software of Samsung. When I exit out of that program, all is well.
NO buttons on the monitor, but the power! All is controlled from software or video card and I have not figured out how to do the video card controls.
I called Samsung and they told me the "Magic Tune" software is not necessary, so I will uninstall this. They told me with a digital monitor all the adjusting is done through the video card. I purchased a new card for the DVI. I got a MSI NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE. Any idea how this is done??? The picture is near perfect. I noticed about 1/4 inch black area on the top of the screen and about 1/8" black on each side. I do have a number for MSI, so I will call also. I do not have deskt
This is a single monitor, but I believe you can connect between the analog and DVI and go back and forth via one or two clicks of the power button. I did just discover it IS one of the software programs. There are three included. Unfortunately, I do not see where I can prevent the software from starting, but I can exit it after startup. I will call Samsung to see if there is another way to disable the startup without causing video problems. I sure do appreicate the responses and help everyo
Just downloaded the driver (which I believe was the same) NO change? This monitor is controled changed by software only. No controls on the unit other than power. All the adjustments, etc. are through a software program. This is a great monitor with bright, vivid colors with tons of great reviews. HELP. <img src="http:
I have tried uninstalling WB and this did not make a difference. I will check on the Drivers. This is a Samsung 173P with DVI connect. I did use the drivers from the disk but will check Samsung site. Why would the XP schemes be okay and not cause this problem, but installing the WB and using does? Anyone have any more suggestions or ideas? Thank for all your help. This is slowly driving me crazy. <img
I have noticed that Window Blinds causes programs to open with about 3/4 inch space on the botton and the same amount cut off of the top. I switched to XP default to see the difference and all the windows maximize correctly. I have found the only way to solve this is to minimize a window and then maximize it again. This is rather a pain. This is something I just noice in the last few days. I also attached a new digital monitor. Because of that I try the XP and discovered the problem is not
This is bad news. Things need to be working propersly (i.e. links) before posting news like this. Hope there is improvement ASAP.
I have to take back part of whay I just "Complained" about!!! WB will now let me use my tax program ... ya!!!!
Basicly, I am (was) thrilled with this update. Much faster, easier to use, changes skins, etc. All great! I just have one problem ... This program disables my scanner. It took me some time to realize it was WB causing it. As soon as I unloaded WB (temporarily) I was able to use the scanner (Cannon 1220). I have always had to turn off WB when I use my tax program (Intuit's ProSeries). I guess testing and programing are not done on much professional software. I still really like WB and wou
Good Morphing Thanks again! I too previously used gator until I got Robo Form. Its a great program to keep up with so many passwords, etc. I also use the adaware and still find alot. I have just put hotbars on the "ignore list". I may take your adavise and try without hotbars for awhile. I have a P-4 (1.7) desktop that runs great and doesn't seem to have any problems with hotbars; however, I also have a P-III (1.0) laptop that is so very much slower. I believe I will give it a try. T
Good Morphing, bistro: I appreciate your comments. Personally I have never been paranoid about my browsing habits (privacy). Guess I have been very lucky, because I get so little junk mail (about 5%). I truly enjoy the beautify picture I can have on the top toolbar area. I have found that by disabling the "toolbar" in windowblinds it takes care of my problem. I did check out the Xquet Setup, but could not see where it would do the same thing as I want. I have also tried one of the IE pr
KW88, thanks! I did this. I did notice after I posted the program, that it is not a problem on all windows, just some of them. I will keep on working on it though.
I have found very few of the Window Blinds or Weblinds give me the transparent background I desire on InternetExplorer. I want to be able to keep the Hotbars (picture skins for the IE). Almost all the blinds I have tried (10-12) have colored windows around the buttons. Any ideas? I am getting desperate!!! I like the blinds alot ... but I also like Hotbars alot. I may have to make a choice. Sure would hate to do that. Hope someone has some help for me. <img src="http://images.stardock.co
I have found out that the scrolling feature does not work on my MS Trackball. Any ideas which module could be causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks, Faramir! I tried your suggetion and it works just great! Little by little I will learn all the modules of OD. Any chance you may know how to make the background transparent on the IE bar so that Hotbar skins will show through rather than the colored bars? The XBox Xtreme XP theme does this. Aqua Jack (author) suggests that I look at his theme on the Skinstudio and manybe I can see how he did this. Sorry to say I cannot figure out what area this IE toolbar is in. Can you help! <img
I just purchased the Object Desktop which has a series of enhancement programs (18 or more). They are great. Well worth the $50. Hope you decide to get it. In addition I have gotten so very much great help and assistance here on the Message Board for things I am not sure of. It saves a whole lot of gray hairs!
I am so green at the OD, so I am relying on all of the expects out there for some great advise. So far, you have all been wonderful and helped me enormously. I have gotten some great Window Blinds, but find that some color the window background (that's what I call it; the work area; i.e. background for word, excel, other programs). I find the white easiest to work with while crunching #'s all day. I have tried to change things in the advanced areas of WB, but must not be doing the right thin
Thanks for the responses. I guess I just have to live with those icons looking the way they want instead of how I want ... such is life!
I have a Toshiba and love it. It is only a 2.1px but the picture are great. I have had it for 3 years now. I have also looked at a great Fuji that is 6.0px and it is fabulous, but so is the price! Just remember the higher the pixels, the better the quality of your picture. Actually 2.1px is low now. I would go for at least a 3.1 or 4.0 px. They may run you about $300-400, but you will be well pleased. A digital camera is the only way to go now. We have probably about 1000 pics or so and
