This is not true, GOG recently updated (finally) to version 1.84, so both me and my steam using friend have the same version (1.84, rebellion ultimate edition, both DLC's) but we cannot join each others games, it says our executables differ! Please fix this stardock, this has been an issue since th GOG release!

Hello all, I've recently gotten AotS on GOG (I'm a long time fan of the SoaSE games). Ashes is looking really good, but I have a couple of niggling things. I think that Dreadnoughts die a bit too easily, I get an announcement that an enemy has a dreadnought like it's some big bad unit I need to deal with cos its a big threat... but then it dies really fast to concentrated fire. I think that they should be able to take a beating so that they can be a real focal poin

I seem to be utterly unable to view any of my own custome races, i even tried renaming one of them to terran and saving a back up of the original tech tree, it still wont view properly in the viewer Why is there no 'I want to open this tech tree *points to specific XML file*' option? I am very dissapointed in this viewer, it seems totally and utterly pointless to me, I get the same fuctionality out of just downloading the tech tree from the wiki o
Are there no plans for an 'alliance victory'? You can get an allied victory with locked teams, why not with them unlocked? On unlocked teams, you CAN get an allied victory with at least two players. IIRC, the biggest issue is that ALL players have to be allied with ALL other players in an alliance for it to count (and possibly with no other players). It's a difficult thing to arrange. At minimum, two p

Is it just me, or does the current implementation of the Advent diplomatic ship's ability to increase another teams culture spread badly/miss implemented/bugged? It seems to be spreading MY culture, not theirs, when I use it on their planet. Equally, it seems to spread their culture, not mine, when they use theirs on my planets. This can be particularly annoying when your trying to wage a culture war and your ally keeps disrupting your efforts. Is this a bug or intentio

Yeah, this bug has been present since vannilla sins, i've noticed it for ages. Would still like to see it fixed though :) (not that it's all that serious, other things are probably more important, but if the devs have the time...)

I'm with wolfpackmars2 etc, the military actions stacks up way too fast (it shouldn't add up AT ALL for defending your own planets, and I'd say it shouldn't really be increasing for defending your starbases in neutral gravwells either (suppose I want to actually defend the metal/crystal asteroids i've taken in nearby neutral wells?). Without securing a cease fire VERY early in the game, it quickly becomes utterly impossable to get one with anybody. thats not an exageration, it littera
None of those really appeal to me. Already someone with a powerful economy has victory in the bag with superweapons and a larger and more powerful fleet, so anything that's simply about pouring money down a sink to inevitably gain victory doesn't really add much to the game, IMO, and that's basically what all your suggestions come down to (either having a lot of money or spending a lot of money).
While you may be

Am I the only one who didn't notice much of an increase in speed on the 'new faster setting'? I to preffer a slower pace and more strategizing, but the game is still all about that and not the fastest clicker, as far as i can tell.

I see Darvin3's point, but hes neglecting an important part of Sins: Single player. I agree that this would be considerably less used by human players, but I can see this as being of particular use when playing with the AI. I'd love to be able to buy and sell planets with my computer allies, or buy a planet from an enemy. Sure, I could take it by force and probably have the military might to do just that, but it's nice to have options, and thats the point of diplomacy right? I
I'd like to repeat a suggestion because I just feel it could really make the game so much more interesting! When we get down to it, wars are more often than not fought over for resources! I'd like to see a limited resource system implemented or as an option. Astroids for crystals and Minerals should have a limited reasonable quantity and a production curve. -a Mine Life cycle, should have have some

OK, the mods is still good, but I wanted to let the pirate guy know, that when battling pirates I get a significant frame rate hit. Everything else is fine, and I don't get the hit when fighting the other races, just the pirates. Sometimes weapons fire will actually dissapear sompletely too (presumably because the engine can't handle it). You might want to take a look at optimising the code or something, dunno what the problem is exactly.
