Ok, looking at one of the Dread Lord ships they don't have any point defence. So that indicates to me to go for a missle attack. The porblem is the are so qucik I can't see to catch up to them. They swoop in destroy my starbases and poof gone. Should I station ships at each starbase and set the to ( sentry or guard ). Also, how do I get the other races to help out, they are good at watching me get whacked but not so good at helping out.

I am new to GC2 ( 1 week ) and have started playing the Dread Lords campaign. Managed to get to " Achilles Heel " but am getting Butt kicked by the Dread Lords. No ship I make seems to stand up ... just a simple zapp and I am down another ship. What is the correct weapon / defence against these guys ??
