Click on the Demigod icon in the list. In the information panel you will see the Demigod icon and it will say Demigod v.1.00. Hover your cursor over the icon and it will tell you what version is available. If there are no updates available it will tell you what version is installed currently.

You can try downloading an installer and archive files for the game by signing into Impulse Anywhere with your Stardock.net account. http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx
Please send an email to support@stardock.com with your serial number and any email addresses you may have used with us previously and we should be able to sort it all out for you.
Thank you for your suggestions. Fences feedback can also be delivered to the developer via fencesbeta@stardock.com
Have you checked out the general help thread here? https://forums.stardock.com/341573 If you cannot get anywhere, send us your startup/dxdiag information as detailed in that thread. Send to support@stardock.com
Sorry for the troubles. There appear to be some issues with restoring the archives currently. For now, it would be best to download Demigod from here: http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx Sign in with your Stardock.net account and you will see Demigod listed. From here you will be able to download an installer and the archive files.
Sometimes overlooked, it is also generally a good idea to have at least 2-3x more free space available than what the size of the download is. This is because it has to unpack the files and then install them. Afterwards it will clean them up but during the install you need the extra space. For many this likely will not be a problem but it does crop up from time to time for users with low drive space.
It appears there are some problems with the Impulse archiving process at the moment. For now, your best bet is to use Impulse Anywhere as a workaround. http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx From here you will be able to download an installer and archive files for the game which you can then use to install on your other PC. Currently only our titles are available via Impulse Anywhere.
Do you have any antispyware apps installed such as Ad-Aware of SpyBot? These can typically cause this error. If you do have such programs, try temporarily disabling them and then try Impulse again. If you do not have anything like this, please send us your startup/dxdiag information as detailed here: https://forums.stardock.com/341573
We have had a report that the non-negative number error was due to AVG antivirus running in the background. The larger than expected error is also typical of firewall/antivirus/antispyware software running. I would suggest adding an exception for Impulse.exe within your security software if you have any. If you still cannot get anywhere, send us an email to support@stardock.com with your Impulse error log and your startup/dxdiag information. Information on how to do this can be found
To check for sure what version you have installed, From the 'My Games' tab in Impulse, click on Demigod. In the information panel you will see the Demigod icon. Hover your cursor over it and it will pop up with the installed version.
Could you please email us what serial you are trying to use so we can look into it for you? support@stardock.com
[quote who="BeLGaRaTh67" reply="15" id="2177102"]Was just about to post regarding this, thanks for the replies saying it was sent out early One question though, there is no "My Desktop" section in the impulse client? All I have is "Explore", "Community", "My Software" and "My Games". Impulse is up to date 3.21.381 (build 1260) so I assume that is an error in the email? I appreciate it was sent early and the skin is not available to us yet, but I wanted to check o
Sorry for the confusion. There were some problems with the release. The emails went out to a limited number of people before we caught it. We will make it available shortly. Your patience is appreciated.
If you have not done so already, download and install Impulse from here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe Once you get signed in, click the 'Register Product' button near the top left corner. Enter in the serial number. When you click 'Product Category' it should automatically snap to games and select 'GalCiv II - Dark Avatar'. This is normal. You should now be able to add the registration and have both games be available to you.
This can often happen with security software (firewall/antivirus). If you have not done so already, add an exclusion for Impulse.exe if you have this type of software installed. If it will not go any further, you could try temporarily disabling this software for the duration of your download. if it does not help, please re-enable your protection. If you still cannot get anywhere, please send the Impulse errorlog, your startup information, and your dxdiag to support@stardock.com <
Please send an email to support@stardock.com with the email address/account that you want the other serial number to go to.
In Vista the shortcut is placed under the Games Explorer. Start button--Games--Games Explorer. If you would like to manually place a shortcut on your desktop, navigate to where Demigod is installed (typically C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin), right click Demigod.exe and choose 'Send To>Desktop'.
Definitely a good thing you asked here first to avoid assured disappointment. For anyone thinking about going this route, play it safe and avoid the ebay route. With the serial on someone else's account you would never be able to get updates or to play online.
Columbus never led for even a single second of that series, including their desperate push last night. The next round will be much tougher for the Wings but they have shown they not only have a playoff switch, they flipped it. Now it gets even more fun.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments. We do our best to get back to everyone as fast as possible, especially when coming off the weekend as we are not in office then. Ideally the thing with the serial number would have went smoother, but thank you for your patience and cooperation. Oh-Joy, I was unable to find a support ticket for you in our system via your email address. If you still have not been helped, could you reply back with your ticket ID so I can look into it? For an

Typically when this happens the PayPal email address is different than what the Stardock.net account is registered under. You can use the following tool https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/ to transfer the registration from your PayPal/alternate email to your main account.
Much, if not all of the serial number trouble should be resolved now. If you had trouble entering the serial number within Impulse before, please try again. Be sure to not enter in the letter O as we do not use it in our serial numbers (this happens quite a bit, it should be a zero). If you still have trouble, send us an email at support@stardock.com with the serial you are attempting to use.
Please take a look at the Impulse general help thread here: https://forums.stardock.com/341573 Please send an email to support@stardock.com with your startup/dxdiag info as detailed in the thread above.
