Quoting Fred_Bonaparte, reply 4 -invisible units for scouting Scouting wouldn't be very viable for this game.
Well, i say scouting, i mean stalking a demigod to know where he is, that could be usefull in some large maps.

the to do list is mainly polishing (balance, and netcode). There will be some sort of single player campaign, you will have to choose one of the demigods and make him win the tournament. There will be one cinematic per demigod and the devs announce a great replay value. The core of the game will not be in the single player mode but there will be one. Frogboy has recently said that they already have planned the next 2 demigods but they are waiting until some time after the release to
it would be cool, it is an achievement, a way to tell you that you rocks, so you should know when you have obtained one and do not just have a 0.5 sec splash screen. Also, i would like to see the numerics values in the achievement screen, instead of only a jauge. When you have to kill 500 demigods to earn one, you like to know if you are at 102/500 instead of just looking at the jauge to estimate that you have ~20%.
Unless they've drastically improved connectivity and significantly lessened the prevalence of disconnects
well, they have. I have some problem with the new beta though (or just bad luck in the choice of my opponents?); the netcode starts to be really efficient, some polishing is needed, but there is still a month for that. fingers crossed, i hope this game will have the success it merits.
Anyway the release is not so far, something like a month and a half, and i wont tease you too much but i will just say that i think that it is worth the waiting
What if you could only put on one set of gloves, one set of armor rather then stacking them?
You would still use the same gloves for the queen of thorn and the rook. If it is bothering you so much, wielding the 'soul' of the weapon/equipement instead of the item itself would do the trick...
it doesn't make sense for me either, but it doesn't really bother me; after all it is just a game. Enchanting the demigod's weapons and armor would do the trick if many player find that it is weird to stack equipement (even if the Queen of Thorns doesn't have a lot to enchant...)
i totaly agree! in fact, i have also created 2 posts asking for this feature here and here ; if you could ad some comments it would maybe help; some very important (and basic) features are still absent from the game; i hope they will be added before the release
you are not alone, each time i try to join a game it fails. I hope it will be solved soon.
skill trees only lower your possibilities, forcing you to purchase some skills before some others. It is a cheap way to balance a game (like tech trees are for rts). I like the direction given to demigod regarding that problem (even if i would apreciate some more skills per demigod. Since they are used for many games i totally understand that you are quite confused when you do not see them in demigod, but really it is far better in order to have a wide range of builds.
indeed, fortresses are not threats right now, it should be changed
i hope it counts as a loss, it works like that in most rts (all of those i know at least)
DalzK" reply="9" id="2087773"]Thank god they put level cap down to 20. Definately the best move done by SD/GPG, dont think they got enough credit for it. Literally every Demigod was the same (skill tree wise) by the end of every game, and players didnt have to worry about which skill points were put into what as they would always have enough points to basically upgrade everything. As Trigeminal and Ke5trel said forces more decision making.
<p
Well, it's a pre-order and you don't have the final software so I don't think it's "uber nice" to offer a refund.
yes it is nice from them to offer a refund. You have bought the game knowing it is still a beta and now you want a full refund? Especially if you cancelled during beta1, what is the point to do so during an engine test? As kryo said it's your job to decide if you truly want something before you buy i
A goal oriented ai is the best choice in my opinion. The ai maybe need some love (we are still in beta after all)but what other type of ai do you suggest? and an ai, even the best, always love against a player after some games.
a spy is sapping my forum!! oups sorry wrong game, but still is that some sort of joke/troll ?? because i cant do anything else than disagreeing, the game is still in beta and while being far from perfect (but it is because of that that we need beta) i can already see that the gameplay is solid and original. And pre beta stage??? are you kidding?? please go trolling somewhere else because in total fairness there are one or 2 things that need to be fixed before re
idols need love indeed; in addition to what you suggest, sthose would probably also be fun: -snipers with very low hp but reasonable attack and high range (and normal/low speed) -sneaky units good at surprise attack -invisible units for scouting
nice! removing random stuns is a really good thing, it is always annoying to have to wait while your character is stunned, but when it comes from a random thingy it is a real pain.
There is something like that. Let me just quote some short IRC log: [@Frogboy]: I would like to see flag combos. [@Frogboy]: so if you control certain flags, you get access to special powers. [@Frogboy]: that appear as icons on the screen.
That would be FUN! really hope it will be implemented before the release; it would add more interest to the flag system.
love these ideas as well, citadels upgrades indeed need love!
just read about dvorak keyboards, interesting, i will maybe give it a try someday. regarding to the azerty layout, i have made some researchs, it is only used in french speaking countries (but not in canada for exemple) so it is not such a problem. Anyway it is when the game will be translated (i imagine it will be translated in french, spanish, german...) that those issues will have to be solved. @Strikersgun: yeah, i do not see why they don't have implemented
After several games, i have noticed some things that really have to be improved before launch: -DEATH: i dont see why you cant do a thing while dead, you have to be at least able to see and modify your skilltree while dead. There is no point in punishing the player during this time. Dying is always frustrating but in demigod that sentiment is increased by the fact that you have to wait all that time. The screen effect that appears while you are dead is
nice idea! It would really add an interest to that skillpoint
since we are still in the beta, not having a patching system is'nt such a big deal. i imagine they will add that for the release (having a neat netcode and a balanced game is more important, but still, those that still have slow connections would probably apreciate a patching system).
i haven't checked with 3a, but in the other versions i was unable to stack orders, the devs should really had that in my opinion, it is really helpful.
