I am curious to why the Korath need a universal translator to speak to the Drengin (and vice versa). Is there a part of the story that I missed?
Other things to note. As remric pointed out, the first tech for a planet type will change production from 0% to 50%, the second will change it from 50% to 100%. You can still steal a planet via invasion/culture flip and not have the tech for it. It won't build a building or ships any century soon until you get it's tech, but it'll get you taxes and research.
I may be wrong, but I believe that the planets that I conquered (usually through influence) while I didn't not have t

Ah, I must've had a research or economic treaty then. Also, I enjoy my "treaties" tab in the diplomacy options, especially when theres 5 players left and I can form a star in red lines by bribing races to declare wars on each other, but I would like to be able to cancel my treaties too :-\. If there is a way I haven't found it :(.
ed to play immense maps also. IMO it is just TOO time consuming trying to manage all that (a month for a game). I found I enjoy maps no larger then medium and 90% of the time I just play small. I like a game I can complete over a weekend
I agree, I think it may be harder too. Anyways I enjoy smaller maps more because the micro-management gets overly tedious. Reminds me of civ2 when I had over 300 cities and turn would take 5 minutes, 4 and a half of those would be cli

Humm I was just asked if I wanted to help the altarians since they got attacked and they follow similar ethics as my race ... so I decide to play the role and why not kick some thalan ass as my military is quite strong. So I press yes... and now I'm considered a bad guy as no one trusts me anymore (-- They don't trust us) for breaking treaties?? I didn't do anything sneaky or didn't brake any treaties :-\. A revision of the diplomacy system is duly in need.

I've had the end turn button take a long time to reappear because of a bug with an autopilot route, but I've played around with all my ships and the turn still won't finish :-\. I left it there for 30 minutes and came back and I still can't end turn. Any known glitches I should check?

Ah! Thanks! I turned it off because watching all the dread lord ships attack my ships one at the time was long. I would never have found it without you! Thanks again.

Oh and interestingly enough, bombardments don't damage the planet unless you win. So if I'm using 3 ships to invade a 10 000 soldier defended planet, I can use mass drivers or any other technique until my last ship and then use traditional invasion and not damage the planet at all :D. Less crashes would also be nice, but thats not as much of a priority imo. (Typing this as my game crashed for the 4th time in the kill the yor and test your leet ship campaign mission). and ev

As a few mentioned earlier, the constant requirement of troopers is ming boggling to say the least. The game is wonderful but the invasion system is painful. If the designers do not want orbital bombardment to either destroy or damage a colony, at very least please make it that troop ships don't disappear. (some sort of orbital bombardment would be nice, even if it's weak. Just to make the logic flow) Scenario: Troops invade enemy planet and commit mass genocide. Tr

Sigh, can't roll back. I'm sure it's the drivers because now even DA has the mouse glitch. I had to revert back to the default drivers that came with my laptop. I took me a long time to find on the net, the rollback function didn't work :-\. Anyways, as future reference: Intel 945 Express chipsets 6.14.10.4926 - mouse glitch 6.14.10.4925 - mouse glitch 6.14.10.4905 - mouse glitch 6.14.10.4436 - works Took me a lot of reboots :

and through my pessimism, Sole Soul comes as a ray of light to lighten my life. I ignored the "Allow mixed vertex processing mode" since it didn't appear to be in the performance options list (although I guess it is in it, but oddly it was checked). Anyways, my graphics are back to high, even with my crappy integrated graphics and all is smooth. So there was a little magic option in the end :). Now I just have to revert my graphic cards drivers, because I've b

Updated my graphics drivers, now my mouse is glitchy and flickering... Tried different resolutions, no help. Tried a normal game instead of campaign, still as bad. Whats funny is that before I patched (well before I even started playing the campaigns) I tried a game in TA (unpatched) just to see what the game was about. It ran fine then. Anyways, guess theres no magic option to save me. Time to fill in a bug report.

I've bought the whole package for 60$ (GC2+DA+TA) and played through the whole campaign set of GC2 and DA. Now I just got to TA and am starting to get used to all the changes. But then it strikes me, as soon as I start moving around on the map (just the screen, not the ships) I get about 3-4 fps. I check my video settings (automatically set to High) and try medium and low. The performance just got worse(why?). I tried ticking some settings off myself, but the only way I can get 3-4

I would like to see some simple tcp/ip IP or hotseat type multiplayer implemented :-\. Sure most people don't like this type of game in multiplayer, heck I wouldn't if I were playing with strangers. But throughout my gamehood, the best multiplayer experiences I've had were weekends of civ 2 and master of orion 2 with one or two of my buds. Sometimes in tcp/ip, sometimes in hotseat. Now I discover this game and feel this huge nostalgia rush from my days of Master of Orion II ab
