I am curious to why the Korath need a universal translator to speak to the Drengin (and vice versa).

Is there a part of the story that I missed?

Do Vulcans and Romulans speak the same language? Could be the same principal.

I think I read somewhere (the manual?) that the since the Drengin and Korath split the Korath even started to look different then the Drengin. This could imply that enough time had passed where the Korath developed their on language.

Or had adapted the Dread Lord's language into their own... That would also be evident in the physical changes.

Is this something from the campaigns? I haven't played them. Did the Korath 'merge' or ally with the Dreadlords or something like that?
