I just installed DeskScapes 8 and now the Fences 2.13 does not work. What happened? How do I fix this issue?

Everytime I apply a skin and try to use the Standard Buttons explorer.exe simply closes. No error message, just closes. I'm useing Windows XP Pro service pack 3, although it did the same thing using sp2 before I upgraded to sp3. At first install of Windowblinds it worked perfectly then it started this action. I have reinstalled sp3 to no avail. Getting really frustated here. This does not happen with any other application, just explore.exe.
