ive searched on google and cant seem to find an answer. Does deskscapes slow down full screen gaming? (games like crysis or whatever)

Im really enjoying deskscapes so far, but ive noticed that vista doesnt load quite as fast anymore, this must be due to it try to animate the dream whilst loading stuff, and not having as much cpu to load things. Is there a way to have the dream loadup paused and then start the animation after a short wait? this should make windows boot faster.
