I've finally narrowed down what was causing Objectdock to freeze. Switching the task-bar to autohide (or asking ObjectDock to hide it for me) causes OD to freeze. Occasionally I can interact with it, get icons to move a few pixels, etc. This also causes the task manager to begin responding very slowly. If I switch the task-bar back to non-auto-hiding, after a few minutes everything sometimes comes right. It's easier to kill OD and reload it. This is present in both the alpha

Last week ObjectDock died completely and is now non-functional. I'm attempting to get it running again on Vista 64, either the beta or release version. Is there a known issues or compatibility list somewhere I can work through? Here's a quick rundown of what's going wrong if anyone has experienced similar problems: ObjectDock loads and displays the icons and bars correctly. Then it locks up. At this point everything else running performs normally, but the Task Manager slows
nih777, after reading you reply I reread my post. The tone I was trying to convey could and was misconstrued. This was my fault and I would like to publicly apologize. Text is a poor communicator of humor. Even with smilies. And one can never know the readers mood when they see it and how it will be read.Again, I apologize.Bebi, Island Dog, thanks for being more clear than I.
No worries. :) I'm just happy that someone confirmed we
Depending on when you bought it and when 2.0 gets released, you'll probably get either a free update, or a discounted price. That's how it worked when WB6 was released from 5.5. People who bought it after a certain time frame got a discounted upgrade.
Well that's not too bad at all; it makes more sense than being told you lucked out. Thank you for explaining that.
ObjectDock isn't in beta itself, but it has a new beta version available for subscribers.[/qu
Usually recent purchasers are upgraded automatically through the typical Stardock goodness. As far as being furious . . you bought a single version of an app. One that had a free version you could check out. Buying it was your choice. But . . OD+ shouldn't be crashing that much. Start a new thread so we (and support) can assist you in getting it working.
Excuse me? This is definitely the last time I buy anything from stardock. I find your attitude to be poor and cons
I wonder how many folks with 1.9x are goin to complain about having to buy 2.0.Maybe I'll be surprised.
I do hope you're joking. I only just purchased OD+ this month and if I have to pay again for what will essentially be a stability fix I'll be furious. As it stands OD+ is pretty unstable and I was waiting for the next release with great expectations. I figured my $20 would eventually pay for not having to kill it in the task manager and reload it five tim
I would like to suggest a reflection mask. It would control the opacity and fade of icon reflections. Reflections would be positioned based on the icon position, and the mask would then detemine the alpha value. The mask would scale identically to the rest of the bar background. I have created an example here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nih7777/2392072800/sizes/o/
Unfortunately you can't add separators and it wouldn't be an ideal solution in any case since the list is always changing. I'm sure they'll expand the system tray support eventually.
That worked out really well. I have a static icon for the start menu, a row of large zooming shortcuts (like I had previously with a toolbar) and then the system tray on a third bar at the right. Next question: How do you increase the spacing between the icons on the system tray? They seem a bit packed in there. Screenshot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nih7777/2388134291/sizes/o/
I did mean just not displaying it. Anyway, I replaced it pretty easily, but how do you get the bar to extend all the way to the edges of the screen? Seems like a better idea to make an invisible bar texture and then make the bar texture I'm using now a part of the wallpaper. Genius.
Hiya everyone Is there some way of removing the running processes list from the default vista taskbar? Now that I have ObjectDock Plus doing all the work for running processes, it'd be nice to take them off the original taskbar entirely (and use use it for docking toolbars). An alternate idea is to turn it off altogether and make a bar skin that resembles it, dock a system tray and some shortcuts to it. Sounds more reasonable actually. Still, is removing the running processe
Cool, thanks! :)
Hiya everyone I just purchased ObjectDock, but obviously it's missing a few things on 64 bit systems. Where do you download the beta?
