I dont know, at least college students, like I said I normally play mmo's, couldn't tell you the last time I was guilded with anyone under 18. But the fps game I tried online had kids whose voices hadn't even dropped yet lol.

The last non-mmo game I tried playing online turned out horribly. I played the game for a month+ having fun, then logged on vent one day and found out it was all young teenage boys, I'm a married, adult woman, you have no idea how creepy it made me feel. :NOTSURE:
Try an easy game to start with, with multiple allies on your side maybe? maybe turn off pirate raids as well? You'll learn, I started new games over and over and failed for a couple days when I first got the game. Before you know it you'll figure out how to fight fleets 2-3 times the size of your own and will be moving up to hard setting games =)
I play every game on the small fleet setting now, I find it makes cap ships more important.
I don't think I understand the functionality of media hub structures. Some one here said that they're better than trade ports for advent. I only use media hubs on planets far from my homeworld to ensure the culture is at the max %. Do they have another function I don't understand? Once I have all 16 research facilities my typical new planet logistics setup is frig factory, media hub, tradeportx3. What benefit to adding multiple media hubs is there?
I've only played sp so far, but I usually play on unfair mode versus 5+ locked opponents. I'm sure mp is still harder than that, but it's not the style of game I'm looking for, I like the huge drawn out games that take weeks to complete. I also like rp-ish fleet building. I think it's fun to construct my fleets like the US Navy does carrier groups. I know carrier caps suck compared to battleships and battlecruisers but I like the *idea* of carrier ships. I also enjoy the aesthetic part
I've noticed early game my highest level cap is always my flagship, but I can't tell what this does for it? I've also noticed that the instant I have two level 10 capitals the flagship title seems to go away. Right now I'm engrossed in a huge map game that started as a 10 faction 1 star single player game. Has gone from 4v3v3 to 2v3v1, many many hours played. Anyways, 8/16 of my caps are level 10, how do I get the flagship title back? I kind of like the rp aspect of the game, the f
I'm wondering if those putting down defense turrets just don't know how to use them properly. Some one used the pirate base as an example, that's a crummy way to place turrets! I stack my turrets all right on top of each other nearest the most likely enemy jump point into the gravity well, 3 repair bays right behind them, then 2-3 hangar bays on the far end of the gravity well, with my fleet stationed among the turrets and repair platforms. A dozen+ beam defense platfo
0_0
What?? I mean the red head with a mischievous look. Shes the only advent girl thats not an old lady. TEC Could use girl avatars too~ :CONGRAT:
I just tried to test the lvl 1 radiant versus desert planet militia setup but for some reason the desert planet had a weak militia on this map. 1 kodiak 1 lrm 1 cobalt 1 garza 1 siege It's normally like double that =O anyways, setup; first point in detonate antimatter had to jump 4 planets to get there so only had 30-40 antimatter when I arrived. full shields though. The ships had just chased another factions scout through the gravity w
Interesting laviking, will have to try that. Is this including desert worlds where there are 2, sometimes 3 kodiaks? Also what did you mean at the end when you said
The second quote means when you get your progenitor, you dont have to spend points from your first few lvls on the colony ability. And yah I'll try it again to make sure, but I'm pretty sure you can take a desert world with a lone lvl 1 radiant. I want to say I put the first point in detonate antimatt
Probably not the most significant reason to choose a capship...
I play Advent just because I like one of their avatars and the radiance ship =P Dont hate! As an advent player, groups of dunov's are probably the most annoying tec cap. I like the radiance the best just because it looks neat, all the advent caps have a sexy and sleek style, only one I don't like is the revelation. The relevation has a crummy version of the ion bolt. You ca
I've been playing for weeks and didn't know about the pause button til I read these forums! =P
Can we get the young advent girl please? She's who I use in game. :D
I know you said you go with the colony capital, I used to do that too but switched to using radiant + colony frig. You mentioned trouble taking desert worlds early on, I'm pretty sure I've been taking desert worlds with only my radiant and sending my disciples to capture the astroid. As a bonus one desert world can push a new radiant to lvl 3 or 4 from clearing all the militia. I don't have to worry about leaving my cap at a planet to get enough antimatter to take it then, can just move the radi
