Tiles seems like it will be useful but it would be appreciated if the contextual menus could always appear in front of the tile window. I'm on XP SP3. Thanks!

I've had the same issues as Marwood and I'm also running XPSP3. I just reisntalled Fences after updating to the latest Impulse, so I don't know if this is still the 3/18/09 version of Fences or a new one. In my case, I just did the install and have only had one explorer crash, from which I recovered, so that's an improvement at any rate. :) Please let me know if there is a newer version than the 3/18 build. :) I've done some further checking and I am still getting the e
So far so good! Contextual Menus are working. I'll let you know if it crashes, which I hope it doesn't. YES!!
Well this is now happening to me. I used CCleaner to clear out my temp and prefetch, uninstalled Impulse and WindowBlinds and as of now I still can't get msconfig.exe to boot. Should I try uninstalling Theme Manager? What other Stardock apps should I uninstall and reinstall? (I want to reinstall any I uninstall with the latest stable version but first things first, let's get msconfig.exe to reappear. It does load in task manager, I just can't see the thing on my desktop.! It's invisi-msconfig
I have it happening with Argos as well and I have a 512MB card so I suspect it's something else. As for versions of software, all OBDT apps are current as are my desktop themes. Actually, everything is current. With diamond, it's keeping the XP look except for folder icons, but open the folder and you get XP again. This is at 1280x1024 if that means anything. The corrupt or incorrect (in some cases) taskbar seems to happen with any theme other than the XP Default. I tried it with the Universi
I'll get that info pronto for you! I can tell youi that Diamond is one of the themes in question. I do keep everything current as far as apps and I'll get what you need. I can get the Windows XP Default to reappear but if I go for Diamond for example, it's not fully rendering. If you could give me a specific suite/my colors theme you know to be working properly, I can test that and tell you what is happening on my pc too. :-)
I'm having problems as well. Sometimes I get corrupted graphics or the theme is not applied to the folders. IE: The folders/apps do not adapt the new theme. As for the Taskbar, it gets corrupted and I do have the box checked in windowblinds to fix any taskbar corruption. It's not doing it presently and I'm curious if I should unintall/reinstall any of OD2k9. It's happened before, although not for awhile. I guess some themes just don't want to change, but I like change.
Hello, I know that this has happened off an on before (not for awhile now, but some versions ago, yeah.) but if I apply a theme, and it does not matter if I do it from MyColors, WindowBlinds, or ThemeManager, the folder view fails to change from it's previous theme, and the taskbar fails to change as well. Also, in some previews, there are corrupt graphics and selecting the corrupt graphics settings does not change this. I have faith that all will be resolved, and I hope you guy
Ok, solved my problem myself. I just got the email and the serial numbers for the expansion packs are different from what Impulse entered in when I put the order in. Corrected the serial numbers and it's downloading now! :-)
Same thing is happening to me. I just got the ultimate bundle. The serial numbers are the same for the game and expansion packs. Should I email support@stardock.net?
I just have a question as I don't seem to be having issues as yet. (knock on virtual wood...) Is BootSkin Pro going to be released for XP in the future? I have the alpha of the XP BootSkin so I'm good, just curious. :-)
Hello, This is just a post to let you know that I still don't see any options for Fences appear when right clicking on a fence. I've seen some Windows Explorer crashes too, which I have recovered from thus far. I'll post more info on that once I have some steps to reproduce. As for right clicking, just select the fence title bar or main window and right click. If I do that, I get the default contextual menu. (The program Right Click, while installed, is not being used a
While RightClick is installed, I do not have it loading at present. Also, at least today, Windows Explorer crashes randomly. I'm still looking into that one though.
Hello, So far, I really like Fences. It does make my desktop more organized! Ok, as for the bug... If I try any right click options as suggested by the customize fences dialogue, fence related right click options fail to appear in the contextual menu. I know this is going to be fixed ultimately, but I thought I'd toss it out there in case it has not been reported yet. BTW, the animation of the icons flying into their fences is pretty cool. :)
I currently see version 1.91k[a].025. I think I'll give the uninstall/reinstall a try.
I can drag items for the most part but I've come across a different issue which may require a separate post. As of now, I can no longer see the system tray icons on my tabbed dock. I have Object Dock Plus and I'm curious if reinstalling ODP will fix it. Any assistance is appreicated! :-) Thanks! hselburn
This looks to be very cool. I look forward to the day they can verify the safety of all herd related commands but in the meantime, the stardock commands rock! :-)
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd be more than willing to put it to the test. There are some really good MacOS X suites available for ObjectDesktop 2008 and earlier and I'm curious if OS X's column view could be implemented... it uses a Hierarchical Menu structure and that would give a MacOS X Suite more of the MacOS X feel, that is if that were desired by the community... no flames please, I'm just curious if this is even doable or if it's too hard to even bother with. :-)
Hello, I was just curious if there will be instructions posted on how to do a complete uninstall of SDC since Impulse has now launched. For that matter, is it a good idea to do a complete uninstall of SDC? Do they share any components? (That would be the potential issue in uninstalling SDC.) Thanks! hselburn
Well I was able to solve my own problem. It turns out that WindowBlinds wanted to use a specific taskbar and start menu no matter what I tried to apply with either the ThemeManager or MyColors. Once I figured that out, I was able to fix things! Now it rocks again!
Hello, I just downloaded and installed the cosmos theme and the task bar is corrupt. Should I attempt a reinstall? Also, as a FYI, in Impulse, it does not show under my themes as the cosmos theme is not listed on the registration page. The corrupt graphics affect the start menu as well. It's nearly unusable. Is there a way to redownload a theme once it has been downloaded? I've seen this with the quest theme as well. I was able, using the Theme Manager, to reinstate my previous t

I'm having issues with the Omni Widgets, such as the Weather one. I click on the location bar and nothing appears, so I can't select a location. I've given it internet access but not server access in ZoneAlarm. The cursor seems to disappear somewhat while mousing over the widget so it's trial and error there for me. I've seen this sort of behavior with other widgets as well which makes them hard to use at present. I'm using the OS X cursor in CursorFX Plus although this happens with the default
Ok, I have an update. I restarted the Computer and while it did save part of my RightClick Menu, it lost the System commmands such as restart and shutdown. These were at the bottom of the menu so perhaps there is a limit as to how many items can be on a right click menu at any given time. Also, the Show Clipboard item fails to display the clipboard, all in all not "that" big a deal, just a fyi.
Thanks Zubaz! Downloaded, Installed, and we'll see how it goes! :-)All in all, I have to say that Stardock's software makes life better, that's for sure. (I hope I just didn't jinx XP by typing this. LOL)
