So, yeah, sorry to belabor the point... but... I tried putting your mod folder, the "WLd + bailknight_graphicmod_v1.2" folder, into the the mod folder. That's where the Adama repack mod folder is as well. So as expected, when I started the game, I had the choice between your mod, and the Adama repack.... They did not 'merge'... Just to make sure, you do realize that the Adama repack mod combines both Bailknights mod and the Sins Plus mod.... So I can't just replace

If I place your mod in the mod folder along with Bailknight's mod, I imagine then that I will need to enable both mods? I guess I assumed you could only run one mod at a time.... Thanks, Javaslinger
Any idea how I can incorporate your mod into the Adama repack mod? Thanks, Javaslinger
Hmm interesting... That would suggest that they never managed to kill a ship except for the very first raid.... I would have thought they would be more effective. I guess they're still good for tying up resources of your opponent... Javasligner
So I just played a 1 vs 1 on a small random map vs the AI. During the game each time I 'won' the bounty of the pirates, my bounty would not reset to zero... the clock for the next bounty would start exactly where it left off... Just increasing each time... Obviously this saved me a lot of money... I was under the impression that the winner of the bounty would have his money taken and reset to zero. While the loser would keep his bid until the next go round... A
Any more progress on map 3? Have you considered designing a map for single player? AI friendly? Thanks, Javaslinger
Yeah, it's unfortunate that no one has stickied this yet... Seems like modding support is a bit of an afterthought... javaslinger
Could this 'set' be taken and made into a mod? Or are some of these changes only possible by changes to hardcoding of the game? How much could be done with a mod? Sounds like it would make a great mod... Javaslinger
So, I always try to stay ahead of the game with the pirate raids... I keep the coffers stocked. However, seemingly everytime as the clock ticks to zero, I get a notification that I've been outbid. I quickly add more cash to take the lead, but as the clock is at zero, the pirates come for me... So next turn I have the lead in bidding to start with as my money carries over since i lost the bidding... but i add more to be sure... but still as the clock ticks to zero, I ma again
The best 4x space game is undoubtedly Space Empires V... No question. Though the game is much, much better vs. multiplayer than the AI. Javaslinger
So are all they mods broken in 1.04? Or just some? Have they released the necessary modding files to update the mods to 1.04 or will there be a delay as in 1.03? Thanks, Javaslinger
Seems like the starting forces or white ships you encounter at new planets are considerably more numerous and powerful than they were in 1.02 or 1.03. Am I wrong about this? I like it.. makes it more difficult to spread out initially.... Thanks, Javaslinger

I've never had a crash... Javaslinger
I think there's more than one.... Javaslinger
It's amazing how so many complain how easy this game is... frankly I'm with the OP... this is a pretty challenging game, unless I suppose you use gamey tactics. Javaslinger
Fix for minidump issue. This fix, if applied correctly should alleviate the problem for all users regardless of computer spec or reason for minidumps... Step 1: Reformat Hard drive Step 2: Reinstall WinXP from scratch... No Vista Step 3: Update all Drivers Step 4: Install Sins. Important Note: DO NOT install any other software. That should do it.... Javaslinger
Seriously??? Where is you mod???
Blair, You can't account for the retarded... Javaslinger
Vinraith, Me thinks you are missing the sarcasm of the previous poster... Javaslinger
[quote]Either you think the game is or is not balanced: if it is, go away. If it isn't, then you agree in some extent with the OP. If you agree, saying 'hurr hurr mod' is *admitting failure*. It's basically saying 'the devs can't balance this, you do it', which is pretty offensive. As I'm sure has been said eight million times in the other threads, 'competitive balance' is a strawman. If you balance the game for multiplayer, it won't somehow break single player. If you think single player or
Oh, lightzy... I'm so sorry you wasted your money.. your cry for help has not gone unnoticed.. you insightful comment has been much appreciated... Now go away... Javaslinger
I'm not familiar with the competitive online SOASE community, but if there is one, it shouldn't be too much trouble to get a consensus mod that is balanced. Perhaps 1-3 mods would be managable. Is there a community website dedicated to online SOASE play? That would be a good place to organize this sort of thing. On the other hand, It would be nice if the dev's would release SOASE with basically 2 gameplay options... singleplayer balance or multiplayer balance. I think the
Every day several new posts on balancing SOASE pop up. The debate on how to juggle a balance for single player vs. multiplayer vs. casual gamer vs. competitive gamer rages on and on... It escapes me why this is a problem... In my opinion, you will never sucessfully balance SOASE for all those targets... But this game can be modded.. even now, with somewhat limited modding capabilities, the one thing that can be completely controlled are everything described above. Everythi
