Brad, Personally I don't believe you should have apologized for your comments. Here's why. 1. You have a reputation as an upfront businessman (ie. say what you mean and mean what you say). That applies always. Sure sleep deprivation etc. can modify statements/comments and if those statements/comments are taken out of context they can appear to have more "zest" than you might have intended but that is you. You are upfront. Stay
Does that mean if anyone disagrees with you they are wrong and 'bad guys'?
Of course....thanks for pointing out the obvious! ;P
Quoting the_Monk, reply 24 .....and then we're back to square-one. Namely "business", and I stated above.....I believe business is business and morality (ie. good vs bad) has no part in business even if the product of said business in fact does depict "good vs bad" scenarios. I get what you're saying, I just don't think "morality" as such can/should be applied to business. If we did,
Sure, but aren't you then arguing a relative (ie. "good guy" or "bad guy") point? Morality in all of its iterations is subjective and therefore relative to each individuals perspective. It is relative if you exclude all other considerations, but not if you take it in context of the game. The game is marketed to us, and not extremist militant groups, and thus the vast majority of the target audience sees the Coalition as the
I'm not disagreeing with you Anny I'm just pointing out that I'm about as anti-PC (political correctness) as one can get....of course one could argue that me taking offense at all the PC-crap floating around these days is intolerant as well! In general I'm not a fan of political correctness, but there's also a difference between "PC" and "Things you shouldn't morally do". Political correctness is when you get told that "We'
Of course, you should be able to play as a nazi in a WW2 game, immediately after being announced I would pre-order it.
Seeing as most people these days equate Wehrmacht/German with Nazi anyway (albeit incorrectly) what's your point exactly?

It's pretty easy to tell what they were thinking though. If it *wasn't* named Taliban nobody would care and nobody would talk about it. But they named it such, and now there are articles popping up talking about the game. Lots more media exposure for no advertising dollars spent. Sure they
...whenever I hear things like "that's in bad taste"....or "what were they thinking?"...or "that shouldn't be allowed".....etc. etc.... I can't help but think about the movie "Demolition Man" and its huge comedic value (as I see it) when applied to the current P(olitical) C(orrectness) trend sweeping the western world. I still have tons of love for Medieval but do agree that Rome was probably the best in the series. Empire was such a massive dissapointment that I also "took a pass on Napoleon". I guess we'll have to wait and see how this sequel pans out because personally I don't think Medieval 2 was such an improvement over the first....in fact I think Med 2 went backwards from Med 1 in a few areas.
Syndicate (the original game) and Crusader: No Remorse were/are two of my all-time favourite games ever! :) Man I hope they don't screw this up........sigh
Honestly the way I feel about PC's is that all of the manufacturers are kind of crap. If you want a good computer, learn how to put together a computer, it's fun and pretty simple these days. It's all pretty much plug and play now. It's like building your own hot rod, only much cheaper and less labor intensive. Plus you'll be able to save money, and won't have to deal with manufacturer bloat ware and crappy BIOS if
Here's my story about DELL resilience...... In April of 2005 I purchased a DELL Inspiron 6000 with the following specs: 1.6GHz Centrino Processor 128MB ATI Radeon X300 1GB RAM 80GB HD CDRW XP Pro edition 3 days after I had it......the drive died. DELL attempted to replace the drive with a refurb, and when I told them that wasn't acceptable they attempted to replace the entire notebo

jeffalford, my reply wasn't addressed to you (eventhough since your post was the first on the second page it may have seemed that way ;) ) Jafo, I know....believe me I know.....we've been through a few other "iPad threads"......just didn't want this one to go down the same road.......although it seems it may already be there......[e digicons]8C[/e]
As Daiwa put it "this isn't about fanboy/hater". Some of us have determined that (for our uses) the iPad can play a more significant role than "just a useless media consumption device" (as the haters like to call it) and that's that. It doesn't matter if you agree......we don't care.......why? Because it's working for us. Do we want the whole world to get one? NO! Take your hate-posts elsewhere....this thread was to simply INFORM the forum
you're still using SD central? You will need to visit www.impulsedriven.com and download IMPULSE. Once impulse is installed and you've registered your account you should have no difficulty downloading and installing the latest version of SINS. thanks, the Monk

What exactly are you trying to say with this thread? What "policies" are you alluding to in (what appears to be) a rhetorical question? Although I've been around these forums now for (what seems like) forever, I haven't actually played an ONLINE game of SINS since back before diplomacy and entrenchment were released. Hell I think the patch-level of vanilla SINS back then was 1.08/1.09? I'm actually totally afraid of coming back online for an MP game of SINS, I'd be cannon-fodder for regulars these days.....I'm happy watching the me vs AI battles play out in a laser-like light show! heh
Check the stickies in the TECHNICAL forum right above where your post is. Should you need more clarification after reading through the stickies feel free to ask follow-up questions..... :)
Anyway, I played through the game on easy. It was alot of fun and took only about 2 and 1/2 hours. I could see myself paying $5 to $10 for additional content and will probably play through the game a few more times on more increased difficulty. There were some networking issues here and there - took a bit to find a game I could connect to (and there's no info out there on what ports to forward, if needed), but once I connected,

Sometimes *running* malware is able to interfere with the scanners you're using to try to clean it and when you connect the HD externally to another machine the malware may not be able to run allo
