That would be dishonest. It makes me so sad that the values I've taught my children mean so little in this world.......thanks. Now....I had heard somewhere (posted in another thread) that if people received more than one copy Brad had stated that the people cou

Hmmm......well I hear that UBI has confirmed they will be removing the "region-lock" completely but of course since it's UBI we're talking about who knows when that will actually happen.....sigh. Further to "balance" between the factions.......please see my post above. - You'll notice how the Germans for instance might have powerful units but they cost more (a lot more actually......an inexperienced player would say not worth it sometimes) as we
here's a basic idea of some of the faction differences (of course these do change somewhat depending on 1939, 1942 or 1945 timeperiods) quoted from the official RUSE forums:
USA: Jack of all trades: Units are cheap in terms of bang per buck, and has a well rounded combat palate allowing a USA player to adapt to the situation at hand. Britain: Air Power: With paratroopers coming standard with an air field, and some very capable bombers and the be
No worries, I'm glad to help. 1. Since you say your country is not in the STEAM region list can you change it to the country of the version of RUSE that you purchased? What I mean is....eventhough I'm in Canada.....my RUSE version is the US or NA version. Is your version the UK or EU version? Find out from the retailer which version they sold you and for instance if it's the UK version try changing your region in STEAM to UK?

F*cking Steam wont activate my cd-key, saying "This product code cannot be activated in your region"....though i do have a proper version bought in my country and with localised manual... the steam support was not very helpful, saying i should ask for refund and local publisher of the game ignores my mail sofar... How about making the user account that everyone browses the internet from (and for normal daily use stuff) a limited user account? Keeping the ADMIN account safe and reserved. *Most* malware (including the types of infections you're describing) can only use the credentials of the currently logged-on user account to install themselves and cause damage. Limit that and the malware loses it's bite. I've proven this theory more times than I can
Does it matter? (if they even get some credit for doing so) I mean seriously, the game is rock-solid, polished, balanced, fun as hell and turns out does not require the "always-on" DRM-scheme that would-have/could-have/should-have lost them sales! How much credit do we time and again pass out to game studios who didn't even get that far? (ie. solid, polished, balanced, complete..etc.etc.) just saying....
I so love the main idea this game is built around... being able to fool your opponent into attacking fake positions, etc. I refuse to buy this game however as I do not agree with the buisness model. Whether or not I am allowed to play the game I bought rests solely in the hands of the publisher... I dont freakin think so. Great game concepts but they can keep it.
I think you might
Quoting Aractain, reply 5 Just wait until you get beat by some starcraft player in 1 minuet 17 with a light tank rush who didn't even know there was ruses in the game. You can rush someone in 1:17 in R.U.S.E.? That certainly rules it out for me.
Only if the opposing player literally knows nothing about how to play the game. Decent players cannot usually be
Yeah, because you and your community represent the entirety of Steam users.
Not at all, but his remark seemed flippant and without basis considering that he didn't indicate having issues with this particular game in offline-mode and was seemingly just letting off "steam" at steam. A troll-remark begets a troll-response afterall! hehe :P
You mean Sometimes-working-half-broken-offline mode?
You mean you're one of those who complained about the UBI-DRM so they relent and remove it.....now even STEAM is a problem for you? Sheesh.....guess it's true......some people are NEVER satisfied. I and not one single one of the 30+ in my gaming-community have EVER had an issue with STEAM offline-mode. Methinks you are the problem! :P
What DRM does it use?
STEAM.....they decided against using their own always-on thingy, which means once you install from STEAM you can play in OFFLINE mode.
Yeah, it really is a fresh way to play a classic - chess! ;) Honestly, the reviews from sites like JOYSTIQ couldn't be less informed! That chick on JOYSTIQ sounds like an ADD teenager with absolutely no clue what the game RUSE was even supposed to be about. My advice to anyone hearing about this game? Download the DEMO and check it out for yourself. Again, if you're sick of APM/mirco-centric RTS then this table-to
EDIT: Try the demo. If you like the demo at all, then I'm sure you'd only like the full game even better. Having said that, the demo is SP-only and personally I think RUSE really shines in the MP!
Trust me.....I've been on the receiving end of most "rushes" at least once already (I've been with this game since BETA 1). Para-rush (mostly used in the first beta) Light-tank Arty etc. etc. I won't say I've never been successfully rushed, but a GOOD player in RUSE will not lose to a rush......that is what's so good about this game. Every rush in RUSE can be successfully countered, the bad part is.......once you do th
I won't buy this...as I heard CoH is much better, and I bought that already.
Nothing at all like CoH! You'd be doing yourself a disservice by not buying this amazingly FRESH take on RTS. RUSE is not an APM click-fest like StarCraft 2 or the like, I've seen plenty of "expert" RTS players (coming from WiC, CoH, SC or SupCom) getting their asses handed to themselves by "noob" RTS players because in R

You dont have to be naked to look like a woman
No, but it helps! :P Besides, I don't think anyone said anything about having the woman be "naked". Let's face it.....men are far more "visual" than women, so when women in real life wear tight-fitting jeans, thongs, short skirts, low-cut tops etc. etc. they

Shaded_Newt, As Syneptus pointed out.........please use IMPULSE to update your game ( www.impulsedriven.com ) Once you're at the Impulse website you'll need to download the impulse client software and get that installed in order to update your game.

It is my understanding that you should (in order to remain in license compliance) have a second copy of the game for your wife's system. Each of your systems has it's own legit licensed copy of an OS doesn't it? Why would/should entertainment software be any different?
mmm........now that the armour visual debate has heated up nicely......I wonder if I could introduce the request for "breast-physics" on all female characters? I think that's what's *missing* from the game to be honest. We're all here in the name of realism afterall...... hehe ;P
do you have a joystick plugged into your system at the moment? I'm an avid flight-simmer and sometimes when playing other games they don't read the joystick calibration correctly and cause weird issues like the one you're describing. When that happens, I unplug my joystick and everything returns to normal. ;)
@majikayo, "horrible treatment" really? stop me......you're starting to sound like a genocide survivor......sigh! ;P
