I think I needed to perform all Dell and Microsoft updates, remove the video driver, then reboot and reinstall the video driver without the external monitor connected. I should mention that I have been working with Dell on this also, and I got a bunch of updates yesterday from them, including video drivers. Maybe that will help. Fences reinstalled, monitor disconnected.

I am not sure. I will use my laptop over the next few days not connected to the external monitor (which makes my job a lot easier) and let you know.

No, no, no. But, Windows 10 does change the login picture randomly, but not do to a program I installed, or any setting that I have set.

Followed all the instructions to uninstall and clean boot, waited 1 day, screen did not blink, then I reinstalled and the screen blinks occasionally with Fences installed (once every 20 to 30 minutes). Did another complete uninstall and have left it uninstalled, no blink issues for 2 days. It appears Fences is the problem.

The problem still exists. Some days only one or twice, others, every 10 minutes or so.

After installing Fences my laptop screen and attached monitor will black out for a second or two, then come back 2 or 3 times (day).
