Has this issue been fixed? I didn't see anything about this mentioned in the changelog for 1.01.

And that's the one thing that made me uninstall this program. I did the 30 day trial for it and it broke stuff and I was like... nope, this isn't going to work. I'm happy to see that this is going to fixed.
Chromium Edge support doesn't work too well, when you have the window active it obeys the color scheme you provide from Curtains but as soon as you go to another window it loses all color settings. That's jarring since I have a dual-monitor setup with Chrome Edge windows on both monitors.
I've noticed that sometimes with the Windows 10 Calculator the title bar won't show up on the app unless you minimize it and then restore it.
I'm beginning to think that this is a bug in Windows itself and not a bug in ModernMIX. Why I think that is that when I manually kill off a ModernUI app via the Window Task Manager, the icon stays behind. It's like the taskbar isn't being updated properly.
Closing windowed Modern apps results in the process bar icon still showing the app as running. Any fixes for this problem?
Still seeing this issue. Whatever fix they put into place in 1.15 doesn't work all the time.
OK, I tried disabling the Charms disabling functions in Start8 and the WinKey+C still doesn't do anything.
I tried that and it didn't work. Is it because I have the Charms Bar disabled in Start8?
I'd like to see the ability to toggle the Charms Bar with a press of a keyboard button. Currently we have the ability to toggle a ModernUI app to be either full screen or windowed with the press of the F10 key on the keyboard (default setting). Well, I'd like to see the ability to be able to toggle the Charms Bar with say... F9 when working with a windowed ModernUI app.
I'm experiencing this issue too. Please get a fix in place, this is highly annoying.
It seems that Butch123 hasn't done anything as of late.
Is there any theme that you know of that comes close to replicating Aero on Windows 8?
I have WindowBlinds 8 installed on a Windows 7 and a Windows 8 Update 1 machine. I see the Aero-based themes on the Windows 7 machine but not the Windows 8 machine. Why is that? Does anyone know of a theme for WindowBlinds that comes close to emulating what Aero looks like on Windows 7? I'd like to get Windows 8 to look as close to looking like Windows 7 as I can get it to. I like what Aero was and how it looked.
I hate to say this but the fix for "where taskbar items were being left behind for some users" doesn't fix the issue all the time. However, I did find a bit of a hack that seems to work 100% of the time. First you have to go to the Taskbar and Navigation Properties window by right-clicking on the taskbar and choosing Properties. Once there uncheck "Show Windows Store Apps on the taskbar". Second open up RegEdit and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Mo
I downloaded the new beta and installed it. I'm happy to report that we have a winner here. Consider that bug dead!
Whatever driver installation is default for VirtualBox is what was installed. I think I have 3D acceleration enabled. I'm launching it via the pinned icon on the Start8 Start Menu.
So I decided to do a test. I'm doing much of my Windows 8 testing in a virtual machine so I can wipe and reload stuff as much as I please. So I went back to square one; a clean install of Windows 8.1 Update 1. I reloaded Windows 8.1 and immediately installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 using the download files from Microsoft's web site. Once that was all said and done, I then installed Start8 and ModernMIX. I then configured the following setu
I uninstalled ClassicShell to make sure that wasn't interfering with it. Well, that didn't work. I open a windowed Metro app and then close it, the icon in the taskbar is still there. I have to come down to the taskbar, hover my mouse over the icon, and then close it that way using the pop-up mini-window that appears.
There are some people reporting an unrelated issue with Windowed apps not vanishing from the taskbar when the app is closed from the X on the windowed app titlebar and this is not by design and we are trying to find out what is different between peoples machines as this is not happening on any of our systems.
Count me in on the group of people who have this issue. OK, so I have the "Keep closed applications in the Windo
Don't know what's going on but I completely uninstalled ModernMIX and let Revo Uninstaller clean up after the uninstaller which found several things that were left over after the uninstall. I then rebooted and reinstalled ModernMIX and again, I open an app in a window and then close it; the icon is still there in the taskbar. I have tried this with the Windows Store app, the Weatherbug app, and the Bing Sports app. All of them remain in the taskbar after I close th
It's already unchecked and yet the icon stays there.
One thing that I've noticed is that when you load an app inside a ModernMIX window and then close it using the X button in the upper right corner of the ModernMIX window, the icon for that Modern app stays in the taskbar. You have to open up Task Manager to kill the Modern app for it's icon to disappear from the taskbar. Yes, I have Windows 8.1 Update 1 and version 1.14 Beta of ModernMIX.
Are you saying that WindowBlinds doesn't have any issues with Windows 8.1 when running on bare metal (non-VMed)? I have to say that the only reason I wanted to see if WindowBlinds will work properly is because I can't freakin' stand what the default Windows 8.1 desktop theme looks like. I seriously want a hit of whatever they were smoking when they decided that taking Aero out of Windows 8/8.1 was a good thing to do, maybe then I'd like it like they do. The
I have the latest set of VirtualBox extension drivers installed that came with 4.3.8.
