1) The systray icons do not stack when the taskbar is two rows or more. I have all tray icons showing and they take up a lot of space on the taskbar because they stay as a single row. I would love to have the tray icons flow to the same number of rows as the task bar.
Yeah, I'd like that too.

Never mind, I installed the non-beta version over the beta version that I had installed before just to be sure. By the way, if this version was the version 2.0 release, I think it would've been a much smoother release. Version 2.0 very much needed more time in beta.
For those of us who used the last beta, do we have to install this version?
I don't see a beta version anymore. What's going on?
That is what I thought as well but then I just uninstalled Nvidia GeForce Experience and now the service is no longer there and the autohide works for me. BTW I'm still on Start11 version 2.03.
Wait. Is that all you have to do? Holy crap. I did write a Powershell script to disable the problematic system service and so far, it seems like disabling the service fixes the issue and there doesn't seem to be any negative s
We have updated the start11 beta 2.05 with some more fixes. One fix relates to autohide so it may impact this Nvidia related issue too depending on the cause of course. https://forums.stardock.com/524909/get;3915022
Not quite, but a lot closer to a possible fix.
I understand; indeed. I've reached a point where I've decided to discontinue using this product. Each time I raised concerns, it seemed as though I was being perceived as the one at fault. This will be my final interaction with the product, including any potential upgrades, due to consistent issues.
I ultimately hope that Stardock can truly fix this issue now that we've found the root cause of this issue.
The NVIDIA LocalSystem Container process is an integral part of NVIDIA graphics drivers, responsible for managing and providing system-level services for NVIDIA software and hardware components. It runs in the background to ensure optimal performance, compatibility, and power management for NVIDIA graphics cards. Or, at least that's what Google says. Great. So, we have to disable a critical component of the nVidia driver for our video cards in order for this issue to be fixed?
Well, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one having this issue. Too bad the developers can't seem to reproduce this bug that several people have.

Is there a way to change the little underline that's put under the icon of a program that's open in the taskbar?
Understandable, I like Start11 v2 regardless; I just really want to see this bug get fixed.
So, both The Acer and The Asus are giving the issue where ever you assign it as primary?
Yes.
I wonder if both of you're using the same brand of monitors which usually come with its own monitors manager software.
One monitor is an Acer, and the other is an ASUS. I try not to install any third-party management software unless I can help it. The only thing that I have installed for the two monitors are the color profiles that should tell Windows how to properly display colors on the screen. [quote
I didn't see this mentioned anywhere in this post, so I'm going to ask. Do you by any chance have autohide enabled in the Windows settings?
Nope.
As long as there's a window on the screen, the taskbar functions as it should. With nothing but the desktop and the icons, it's broken.
What happens if you switch the monitor order? Set existing primary to secondary; existing secondary to primary.
Same situation, same bug.
I did the purge thing, still an issue. Yes, I have an nVidia card in my system. What really makes this whole thing strange is that the issue only exists on the primary monitor, not the secondary monitor.
OK, I tried what you suggested; no dice. Same symptoms.
Nope, completely stock Windows 11 23H2 installation. I even reinstalled Windows 11 to eliminate any possible Windows-related issues that could cause this and still no luck. A window has to be on the screen for the taskbar to re-appear when bringing my mouse cursor down to the bottom of the screen. If I'm at the desktop with no window open with nothing but the icons showing, bringing the mouse cursor down to the bottom of the screen does nothing.
Still broken in v2.0.3.
I don’t even know what Wallpaper Engine is.
