It’s true that Cloudflare could improve global download performance, but it’s not quite as simple as signing up. Stardock’s delivery system is tied into account verification, licensing, and legacy infrastructure that’s been around for years.
We have rolled back the change that we believe was causing this issue, download speeds will be reduced again until we identify the exact cause why some were getting faster downloads and others it was failing halfway through the process.
The fix would be to start using Cloudflare as your CDN!!! I mean come on, it's really that simple! Your downloads would be cached globally in nearly every part of the world, it's not
If that's not proof that Stardock needs to partner with Cloudflare, I don't know what is. Heck, they can even sign up for the free version of Cloudflare, and they'd have their downloads able to be downloaded anywhere in the world at full speed!!! Come on Stardock, get some Cloudflare in the mix. It's not like every download is custom-made for each user—every download is the same and that means they can be cached on a global-scale.
It's a little faster at roughly 1.5 MB/s which is a drastic improvement over the near dial-up speeds that they were before. However, what gets me is why aren't you guys using Cloudflare?
Yes... please, make this possible!
For instance... That's just 2 MB per second. In terms of modern Internet speeds, that's pretty slow. When I think of a CDN I usually think of something like Cloudflare or AWS which allows for you to contact the geographically closest server so that you can get the fastest downloads possible. Apparently, you're not using Cloudflare for your CDN.
I was downloading an update to Start11. And as for the speeds, it took over three minutes to download the update file, that's dog slow.
The download speeds are really slow. According to some of the URLs, it appears to be pointing to https://cdn.stardock.us/ but damn, whatever CDN you're using is not even remotely fast. And I'm on AT&T FTTH service with 1 Gbps downstream.
I could understand the gripes of paying more if buying the upgrade is at full cost but Stardock is offering a massive discount when upgrading. It’s like almost 75% off the regular price. That’s unheard of in most situations.
It seems that I can't pin files to pinned icons on the taskbar. For instance, I have Microsoft Word pinned to my taskbar, and I wanted to pin a Microsoft Word document to it. Unfortunately, it seems that I can't pin said document to the Microsoft Word icon in the taskbar.
Is there any way to make this section a double row when the taskbar is bigger than a single row?
How does one resize the Windows 7 style Start Menu? I have installed it on my brother's system, and I can't seem to find a way to resize it.
And here I didn't realize that I had a second Start11 v1 license that I didn't upgrade to v2 yet. I got that second license upgraded now. I now have two v2 licenses for five systems.
I have a buy another five-pack license since I have other computers to install it on. Is there some kind of discount that I can get when buying a second five-pack license?

So moving the cursor upwards over the menu makes the Taskbar disappear. Windows has never worked this way, it will always keep the Taskbar visible while the right click menu is open.
