I tried for a fourth world tonight just to check it out. I spawned in water that was three deep and the world was almost completely flooded. All could think was MAPGEN UMAD?

This is actually my third save. In the first there was an incident with creepers and lava lights, The second was pretty much all sheer cliffs which I hated, and the third is my current one. It's semi boring around my spawn, but there are cool cliffs off in the west.
I love this game. Good for notch. also, how in the hell can clay be so rare? Cartograph tells me that there are 490 clay blocks on my map. There are over 5000 blocks of Obsidian. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
Dammit. I want this game so bad. Come sooner Christmas. Please.
kryo is right on the money. There isn't anything new about selling chips with functionality locked. All the cool kids do it, both in the gpu and cpu markets. What is new is offering an official path to go about unlocking that functionality. I don't see the problem.
pastebin isn't playing nice right now. Will do ASAP.
I hope you guys are still going strong. Just wanted to say that I still fire up Sins to play some Requiem once in a while, and that i think it is still one of the tightest mods for Sins.
It didn't work, sorry.
Most of his posts on GPGnet are funny in a sad way. Like Halo golf as a serious idea. The reactions are even funnier, if not always particularly pleasant. Also, he actually went another round on GPGnet a while back as ezri. Demanded to be made a mod and then got banned. Poor guy. Not.

Since installing 1.08B I have run into a rather serious problem. Most menus are at least semi transparent (research menu for example), with certain text showing through, but dialogs like messages from Janusk are text on a clear background with a done button. The most serious problem however is after tactical battles because along with the menus being messed up there is no way to exit and continue playing. I'm doing fine so far. I have not had any problem with the 10.6 drivers (yet), but i must admit that ATi has not impressed my with their drivers so far.
CPU fan is still chugging along. I think that the amount of ram shown in memtest is significant because the crashes in X3 have only started since the latest patch which enabled the use of more then 2 gb of ram.
Interesting. I just ran memtest 86+ and everything passed, but the RAM was shown as being 3966 M (Should be 4096 M I believe). Could this be the problem?
Onboard graphics are already disabled. Made sure of that when i installed the card. I have not installed any weird codecs or Direct X versions. Just the most recent DX 11 release when i got the video card. At this point it is just a waiting game. I wont be sure if my problem is fixed for a couple of weeks.
AV scan was clean.
Also, it should be noted that the issue has only popped up recently. It never occured when i was using the integrated graphics in the cpu.
GPU temps are around 55 degrees celsius in X3. And it is only in X3 so far. I am going to try a AV scan and new GPU drivers. Are there any known issues with the catalyst 10.6 drivers?

Recently I have run into a puzzling crash. I will be playing a game (Usually X3 Terran Conflict), always outside of battle where there should not be any particular strain on the system, and BAM! Black screen and the damn thing powers down then restarts. Upon restart Windows brings up the usual "Windows did not shut down correctly" prompt. A huge publisher once again proves itself to be completely predictable. I don't really care about the whole used games thing, but ubisoft's business decisions as of late have not been good ones. This doesn't really affect me, but i still don't like it.
Woops. Never did update my thread. Oh well. I [e digicons]
Partially hilarious grammar in the OP. If english isn't his/her's first language i understand that bit. However, I have never experienced any minidumps or sync issues when not using mods, but i admit that i mostly play SP and LAN. By comparison with certain games that will remain unnamed, Sins is actually quite balanced. Warcraft 3 is not a valid comparison, as it has been around longer, was a bigger title at launch, and was made by BLIZZARD. By comparison
Geez, where do we get these guys from anyway? Also, SPELLCHECK.
I have more karma then you. Bow down. Also welcome.
