Seems like a classic bait and switch sceme to me. I consider it akin to going to the store buying a box on the shelf getting it home opening it up and find out that there is a postit note on the inside saying "sorry delayed untill... well we feel its ready" dispite the fact we advertised it would be ready and sold you the box already.
Instead of having an empty box with a post note you end up with a beta of the game, which

About the mines...I was playing Homeworld 2 again (needed a space opera game fix) and the way they work the mine field was interesting. The minelayer would lay mine in a rectangle pattern (you decided how big and where) and would continue to lay mine in the area, since the mine would expire after a certain amount of time. I think SINS should try to implement this method and use the contructors as minelayer and mine remover, gives them another job task to do and keep them busy. Since t

Worth reading. Apparently Steam is also doing this, where $US = €EURO. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770231 Although I don't like $1 = €1, but I wonder if their thinking along the line of making everyone pay the same monetary value, I mean without taking into account the exchange rate. Anyway hope Stardock changes the prices for you guys.

Well that just my $.02 CAD cheers, spylord

I use to get that issue to and got me thinking, does SOASE scales the graphic quality based on zoom level, as in zoom out and the quality decrease and zoom in the quality increase (like in Homeworld1/2) or is it fixed regardless of zoom level?

Here some suggestions; - Limit to about 100 or so mine per planet. - new ship, flagship one per game and uses cap ressource. - Away to tweak graphic so that it doesn't slow down in late game with hundred of objects in the game (mines, stations, ships, buildings) - mine sweeper - make the jump entrance/exit smaller so that defense don't have to be spread across half the gravity well

AFAIK there was only 1 delay and that was announced in November when the game mini expansion was initially planned to be released. Since then numerous post have been made that the final release is still TBD and a BETA would be made available to those who preorder to play/test during the holidays. Which they did give access to those who preordered. The only difference I
