You guys were right! It was a horizon margin issue. I experimented a little bit with the margin settings... then realized that all I had to do was: Change "Stretch horizontal middle section" --> "Stretch middle section"; then removed the Top/bottom margin settings. Thanks again. I wouldn't have been able to figure this out without your help!

I am hoping someone would be kind enough to try the skin in my previous post; and, tell me exactly where to make the margin setting change(s). I dont have much experience in Skinstudio; especially dealing with margins. Thanks a million!!! Thanks so much for replying and offering to help! I can't wait to find a solution. Here's a skin example below. INVI 4V All the ones I tried similar to this skin (for example all the skins made by 007TINAR do exactly what you see in the above screenshot. Ive seen this on other skins too; but can remember the na

My OS is Win7 64bit. Im using a Skin that has button images meant for standard/small taskbars (see below). If my taskbar is large, the button images are messed up. I'd like to know what I need to do specifically in Skinstudio for the images to be stretched to fit the size of the taskbar. Can someone please be kind enough to tell me what I need to specifically to do?

PS: Back to the original issue.... Clover only looks good on the local desktop. Below, is what it looks like via RDP session (unless Windows Aero/32bit Alphablending is turned on). I ended up uninstalling Clover. Im pretty sure anyone who has a theme that takes advantage of Aero would have a similar problem. Too bad, I liked using Clover. <

I've invested a lot of time into my WinVista-based theme. I need a way to import only titlebar/Windowframes (and all properties/images) from another Win7 skin. I dont think there is a Skinstudio setting that conveniently exports/imports parts of a skin (at least I didnt see any). However, Im guessing there is still possible way to do this that expert skin builders use; since it wouldn't be feasible to copy all possible titlebar/Windowframe settings (one by on

I had some luck with getting my theme to match well with Clover; even, to where I'm willing to deal with the "Missing Explorer background texture" bug. I even added transparent background tabs (did it via a modified .crx file compatible with WinAero):

I made a .crx theme; specifically using transparent images (that's used for Clover tabs). Unfortunately, the only effect it had was making the transparent images dark. Im guessing there will be no transparency support in Clover until Google Chrome support transparency the same way Firefox does. Actually, this is one of the multiple reasons I use Firefox instead of Google Chrome. I'm guess if Clover didn't break windows explorer textured bac

Just out of curiosity, is there any way to add transparency in the tabs and other clover items? Also, it looks like I lose the ability to add textures to Explorer backgrounds. Can someone please confirm?

EDIT: I figured out the problem. It looks like the latest WB is fully compatible with Clover. I was using an older version of WB (version 7.4). Now, it uses colors from my skin; and, even has real Aero blur effect!

I would really like to take advantage of Clover tabs in my Explorer windows; but when I install it, it blatantly adds this ugly blue WinXP titlebar to my windowblinds skin (my skin has dark glass/aero blur transparent titlebar effect). Is compatibility with clover even a possibility; or would it involve skin images that my WB skin doesnt have? I have this gut feeling there would be no way to do this unless WB adds this functionality AND requiring WB skins to add extra images to su

Hi Neil, I thanks for looking at this. It's important to note this issue doesnt exist with any of the WindowBlinds versions between 6.00 - 7.4. I noticed the problem for the first time after upgrading from version 7.4 to 8.01. OS: Windows 7 (64 bit) - fully updated Applications affected: Randomly, any application that's been in running in memory for extended periods of time Restarting applic

I've been using a WB skin with transparency since WB 6.x. The last stable version I used was WB 7.4. However, after I upgraded to WB 8.01 beta, I noticed sometimes apps lose their titlebar and frame completely. Restarting the app fixes the issue, at least for a while. I'm not sure if this issue is a known issue; or, maybe, indirectly related to another reported issue or not. Anyway, I thought I'd at least mention it here.

Thanks. Yes, I know MS took blur out. I didn't find any definitive information from Stardock developers if/when Aero glass would be fully restored or not. I know it might be difficult to do; but, it's definitely possible (2 working proof of concepts posted above by two separate developers). Also, I'm curious if anyone actually tried using the fixes above along with their WB8 skin on Win8.x in the meantime.

I've been holding off on upgrading to Windows 8.x until I know for sure I wont lose the Aero Glass/Blur for my titlebar/frames and start menu; since these effects are essential for my WB theme to look great. I've done multiple google/image searches on Google for WB8 and Win8.1. From what I can tell, it looks like Stardock developers have only been able to restore basic transparency effect; with no ability to adjust blur (I hope I'm wrong). If this is true, w

The titlebar and frames of all my windows use Aero glass effect (without blur). However, I can't figure out how to make the "Top glassy Area" not use blur. Im not very experienced with SkinStudio8. I didn't see any settings related to blur for this particular element (see below image). I'm hoping someone could please help a Skinstudio Novice out. Thanks for the quick post. Actually, I think/home I found a fix to the problem. c242 's comment gave me an idea. I selected Outlook.exe for "Per app" in the WindowsBlinds settings. Since the crashes would start when hovering my mouse over the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons, I tried the setting for using an "alternate method

Same thing happens here Outlook 2010, WindowsBlinds 7.42. Is there something I can do to prevent this besides using a different skin; such as a per-pixel compatibility setting? The whole point of using Windowsblinds is for the skin I use.

Personally, I think the Aero glass/blur was the best visual effect added to Windows ever. I use the Aero glass/blur effect not only Stardock WindowsBlinds; but also for apps like Glass CMD . Personally, I wont even think about using Win8 until there's a way for me to have just as nice of a desktop as I do with Win764 bit + stardock with Aero Glass.

After using Windows all day, all-of-a-sudden, I notice that most my apps start to crash persistently. The only way to fix it is to reboot. I even tried changing to a different skin, but still same thing. I dont see this issue at all until after several hours of use. Once it starts, it will continue until I restart.
