Thanks a lot Wizop Koasati. But I'm using Trillian Pro 3, and I dont have that option, only "Flash the window XX times when a new message or request arrives" so I put a big number abd I think it works! But I still have one more question about the Attention Effect. Is there a way to integrate it with the Auto-Hide? So when you're in Auto-Hide mode and, for example, a new message arrives

the only way i found is with the bounce attention effect, so it appears at the side of the screen. it's not as good as if the dock "autoshows" but it's what i'm using

yes i found the bounce option and it works that way, thanks! the only thing that i don't like is that you can't set different bounce/glow options for the different docks, but's not a big deal. thank you very much for your help Bichur!!

do you have the minimized/open programs in the same dock qith the shortcuts to the programs or u have 2 different docks (like i do)? In Dock Settings, Effects, Other appearence settings: do u have "Show running indicators...." ticked? if so, it's set to default? i believe that the problem lies in one of those things, please let me know what configuration u r using. Thanks a lot mate

it doesn't work, msn's chat window is minimized and when that person talks to me nothing happens in the minimized programs dock.

normal window but that's on the shorcut dock, not on the taskbar one. should i set it to maximize?

it does not, i mean, i can set it up to have a lit triangle on the dock where the shortcut is, but i want the dock with the taskbar items (minimized) to show up and let me know that something has opened. Both docks are in autohide.

I am using MSN Windows Live Messenger. I have windows taskbar desactivated and i hace a dock with my open/minimized programs set to autohid. Whenever someone initiates a chat with me, the chat window starts up minimized. So, if I have my sound turned off, and i am not looking at my running tasks dock, then I usually don't notice it. Really annoying! Is there a way to get round this, lets say that the dock shows up when someone talks to me or something like that, so i don't have to enable
