I had the same problem for a day or so and was able to fix it myself today. When you are in the Stardock Central program at the screen where you download the game, look at the bottom of the window for the Show pre-release versions checkbox. If this is checked, then the installer will try to download "Version: 1.0[rc].046" of the multimedia files. This results in the "invalid URL" error.
