Is the item "Start screen in other than full-screen mode is disabled" a permanent change, or will it be restored in a future build?? I have 8.0 Start8 set up with that option enabled, and really like how it has worked out. I.E., I can use the start screen, but the whole setup is a lot less scroll happy than when the Start screen is full screen. I would really hate to see this go away.

I had a problem with connecting to my secondaries after the update also... I submitted a ticket and didn't hear back, but I got this working on my own by: Check the following Registry key on the non-working secondary: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\Multi Under DllName there is a path. Chances are that it is set to %programfiles%\Stardock\ThinkDesk\Multiplicity\MultiWin32.dll when it should be %programfiles%\S
@spookytron Thank you for the fix for the disappearing mouse pointer icon. I just ran into that, and your suggestion worked perfectly. [e digicons][/e]
FYI, I have XP Pro on both my primary & secondary, and Win + L locks just the secondary.
Thank you for mentioning that. I hadn't caught that 1.21 had enabled the 4th & 5th buttons! Hooray! BTW, any chance that the multimedia buttons (I have a MS Natural 4000) will ever work on the secondaries?
I have a very similar problem with VPC 2007 & Multiplicity. I use VPC on the primary machine. What happens that after some random interval (e.g., 10 minutes) it becomes totally unresponsive (will not accept input, and the top level VPC menus don't work either). I usually end up having to kill the entire VPC process and start anew. I do not get this when I shut down Multiplicity first.
It is named Multiplicity_UserGuide.pdf and is in Multiplicity's install folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\Stardock\ThinkDesk\Multiplicity). HTH
I use Zone Alarm v7 (the free version) with Multiplicity with no problems at all. 1. The machines which communicate with each other via Multiplicity are in each other's trusted zone. 2. The multiplicity program has trusted-zone access as both a client and a server. 3. To enable access to the various alerts, etc. which might appear on the secondary machine, you need to unlock the Zone Alarm client. To do this (at least in the free version anyway): 3a. Open up t
Thanks! Shouldn't stuff like that be in the User's Guide as well as the readme? I looked in the User's Guide, thinking that the code would be there. Forgot about the readme...
Is there a way that one can pass on a ctrl+alt+del to a secondary machine without invoking the same on the primary? I know that that key sequence is controlled by Windows itself, and cannot be overridden. Rather, what I'm looking for is some sort of virtual key sequence which emulates the ctrl+alt+del functionality (e.g., Remote Desktop uses Right Alt + Delete to invoke ctrl-alt-del on the remove machine). TIA for any help/assistance.
I've tried 1.2 with my Microsoft Trackball Explorer (which is technically a 4-button and not a 5-button mouse) with Multiplicity 1.2 as well as the latest version on IntelliPoint (6.1) with XP boxes (both primary and secondary). Still no luck on getting the right two buttons (the 3rd and the 4th buttons) to work.
