Cool. I hope you're able to make your animated WM skin now
Scarebear
I can't find it on the Microsoft site, but Google will find most things
http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/ - UnFREEz http://www.rocketdownload.com/details/inte/4282.htm - Microsoft GIF Animator I can't suggest either, but they both claim to be free.
Essencay thinks folks are still talking in the 1-10 scale because that's the rating scale showing on the "My Skin" page... How alert I must be - that's the first time I've noticed that
I'm surprised I haven't read about someone's pizza not making it through the moderation oven yet....
Will Hunter - I think you'll find the article refers to the current 5 star rating system. You are referring to the old 1-10 scale I think. Sorry if I'm wrong I don't care at all about ratings and am like Will Hunter where I only look at the ratings of my own skins. I'll look at screenshots first then decide if I want to download someone else's skins. And
That's a good breakdown Essencay. I think when it comes to large stores I always get Essencay's 'C' group. They always seem to know less than me!
I'm in the process of purchasing software online currently and have found the email responses friendlier and more useful than my dealings with 'real store people'. That and the fact that online is cheaper makes me not want to try 'real' stores in the future for certain products. This seems to go against what this thread is saying, but it is my experience. Generally I have found traditional stores more determined to please me when dealing dire
Now that was a great moment in skinning history (Heavy Equipment that is)! I knew Snowman would have most of them
I'm getting a 404 too And I'm always after more tutorials
When one blows up in an electrical storm, you adjust
Thanks for sharing. Very funny
Do what bichur said. I use the setting 'If the skin has animations defined then use it, otherwise use the animations selected below'. So in your case, you would select the Zen animations and they would appear in the skin you are using assuming it didn't come with its own animations. The same can be done with toolbar icons. Hope that helps
I don't think I was ever able to do that. But if both monitors are the same resolution, join the two wallpapers you want as one image and make that new image the wallpaper. It should show one half on one monitor and the other half on the other monitor. I always used to create my own extra wide wallpapers when I ran two monitors.
Or tell us how soon it'll be here
My son will want WindowBlinds on his PC now. Thanks! I look forward to the skin seriously.
No matter what you change the system to a dick-head is still a dick-head Absolutely! I don't understand anybody rating something they don't use and therefore understand themselves. I only rate things I'v
I have a mail notification noise that I saw in the movie 'Eurotrip'. It's a bit on the rude side but makes me laugh Otherwise no noises on my PC except for the music I'm listening to.
The images in the Featured Skin section link to freewebs.com also. I don't know if that's where the site is hosted, but I'd follow Snowman's advice with all images. The only images that I see are the ones actually hosted by you.
http://www.pixel2life.com/ - Plenty of good tutorials here too
Sorry - But I find them all funny I feel for you though
That's hilarious. I just love these sorts of things. My wife does customer care for a national bedding manufacturer and I'm often surprised at the calls she gets. I'm guessing all support staff, no matter the industry, have funny calls
Best Giger style skin I ever saw was for Sonique. http://sonique.lycos.com/customize/archive.php?type=skin&view=detail&record=20000504015735 Nothing like that for WindowBlinds etc though that I know of.
It's not totally up to date, but Aleksyandr's tutorial might be a great start for you. It was a good start for me http://www.aleksyandr.com/
- A good read. Thanks for sharing
