NP. I've obviously seen foobar2000 mentioned a lot around the place, but it's not skinnable so I've never tried it. Ever since I discovered Sonique was skinnable I've never used a media player that wasn't skinnable. But I'm a skin junkie like that
Anyhow, I don't use the toolbar, but like those same features on their website. Related links has often shown me sites I'd never heard of.
I also enjoyed reading this and the first part. They were both an interesting read. I don't look for the same features as you (I rarely use playlists or any media library features) and was therefore interested in your findings. Well I wish you luck matey whatever you decide to do. I've been there. It didn't last forever with me, but things have changed. I hope you regain your interest. I know I'd probably explode if I didn't do something graphically in a week

The throbber is the little animation you see in the top right corner of Internet Explorer and/or Windows Explorer when the page is loading. Sounds like you plan on skinning everything - cool

I'd love to see a new wood based skin. When you have a working version you could post a screenshot and that way you have the potential for lots of comments/criticism. I'd only do that when you think you're close to completion though.
Have you tried Quintessential Player (QCD)? It's my current favourite.

I'm not a 'pro', but my advice would be to simply make something you are proud of and would like to use yourself. Look at what is here and you're sure to see what you like (there are enough WB skins to choose from ). Try and combine elements (concepts - not actual images) of the ones you like into a design that is all your own. I think if you make a skin that
